Happy 30th Chip. i am truly sad you’re no longer here. you left your mark in all of us who knew you. somehow you managed to stay away from the social aspect of the interwebs that become popular at the end of your life. bro, you had a google g1! that was legit for its time. you coulda been tweeting it up. now theres too many social apps to give a fck, maybe you’d know that happen. i’d like to think you’d know that would happen. I’m sure you’d have some big, fast and not an iphone android phone. or maybe you would have an iphone. your boi kony has an iphone these days, but your other boi mung is a faithful android fanboy. i talk to pascal all the time, we have the unspoken apple/mac brotherhood. i was going to get a 3d figureprint of your wow character, but i kept putting it off and off and somehow your account got banned. regrets regrets. you took the ultimate no regret bro, i’m not gonna lie, i stood on the ledge once or twice in my life.
i’ve been doing so much with i4. we went to the otherside the country, orlando to makae chloes dream come true to visit the wizarding world of harry potter. it was so damn humid and hot that it was a struggle for me. but you’d probably be like fckkkk this is heaven compared to the dry heat of iraq, PTSD man. we’ve been to LA what seems like half a dozen times. for disneyland, disneyland, disneyland and blizzcon. You know you would’ve been invited everytime, hell you’d probably drive me and chloe in your civic. we went to las vegas too, i don’t think you ever got to go to vegas:( with all your jokes about strippers/midget strippers we coulda done that!
i remember me telling you i wasnt doing well in santa fe, to be honest, i just didnt like school and chloe didn’t like to go out with everyone, only me. i felt selfish for taking away from her family and friends. i had to bring her back, she was happy but not as happy as she could be. i brought her to the nowhere land of santa fe. it really is not a place for us who grew up in the city. plus we where almost out of savings. but then you told me something right before you drove us back to cali. you told me you werent doing well… why didnt i take the effort for you to tell me more. i kinda just said yea and left your emotions closed.
but what have i done since then? nothing bro, no one will hire me even for the pettiest of jobs. i’m seriously, and proud to say this, a full-time boyfriend.
anyway this post is getting long. i’d let you know how everyone is doing but seriously bro more people cared about you then you would’ve known. friends of friends of friends and family to family.

Who are you, and what do you do?
I am Ian and I internet. but really, thats all I do. I’m a art school dropout, the worst kind. Im unemployed and never had a real job. god help me.
What hardware are you using?
I got my rents to buy me an 15 inch i7 macbook pro with upgraded memory and a 240GB solid-state drive in July of 2011 after doing lots of photo scanning and other various computer tasks for them. My MBP sits atop a rain Design Mstand, thanks to chloe. But I also half purchased an acer 27” display with an atypical stand to distract me that it was made for Windows PCs. right now I have an apple numeric keyboard that came with my 2007 imac but I’m waiting for a Matias Tactile Pro 3.0 Mechanical keyboard to be shipped to me from chi town, illin(ois). also now I have an older style razer orochi bluetooth mouse that I am replacing with a Zowie EC1 in white, it was created for heaton so you know its good. i dont use a mousepad since the ikea desk chloe purchased is semi-glossy white and tracks flawlessly. one more thing i am waiting for is a TILT notebook cooler specifically designed for the 15inch MBP, it was a kickstarter. It should ship to me within the next 2 to 4 weeks…. One last thing is my Wacom Bamboo Capture stylus and touch tablet.
And what software?
since i am a design(no specific type) hobbiest I am proud to say I have a legit copy of Adobe Creative Collection 5.5. i do need the new adobe lightroom 4 since its price has been lowered to $150. I try to ask people if they need any graphic design work done to keep me busy with adobe programs but Its few and far between.
Apps I always have open are Trillian for Instant Messaging, Google Chrome with these extensions: AdBlock, Facebook Disconnect, Keep My Opt-Outs, Reddit Enhancement Suite, Shellfish and Turn Off the Lights. Spotify for music, Sparrow for Mail, Reader for when I need to check my Google RSS feeds, Twitter to keep up with my friends and companies, Carousel to see whats on my Instragram.
Apps I use that runs in the menubar or faceless(no menu bar or dock icon). Meteorologist for the local weather, SmcFanControl to see my computers temperature I also use it with automator scripts to set the max fan speeds to counteract the 6000rpm fan problems my MBP has. Fantastical to easily see my google and icloud calendars. Caffeine to keep my Mac screen from dimming or turning off when I’m watching streams. Music Control to control Spotify, itunes and Pandora all from the same app. Flux, changes the color temp to warmer at night so my mind isn’t tricked into thinking my computer screen is the sun. Alfred to do things spotlight can’t do like to turn on screensaver. Isolator to blur and dim the apps that are not in focus. fuzzy clock to tell time in words instead of numbers. Witch app because its a better alt-tab app.
Finally the last apps I use are games such as: Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 Beta, World of Warcraft Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria Beta, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2.
What would your dream setup be?
I truly already have my dream setup, its so current and fresh right now. I could go for a 30 or 27 inch apple cinema display tho. And also a large apartment to live in with chloe, or a small-medium sized house. I’d like to see apple computers to become drastically more affordable. I also dream of a day when Macs can play every single PC game ever created and run it well.
