If you ever need anything please don’t
Hesitate to ask someone else first
I’m too busy acting like I’m not naive
I’ve seen it all, I was here first.

A man, to be greatly good, must imagine intensely and comprehensively; he must put himself in the place of another and of many others; the pains and pleasures of his species must become his own.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Hello slightly skinnier version of me. My entry in the old “This Is What A Librarian Looks Like” type thingy.
Love this song. It’s not one of their hits but it encapsulates everything I love about Pearl Jam. Great lyrics and lead guitar that forces you to close your eyes and feel it.
As time goes by I love Mike’s guitar work more and more…
It’s nothing as it seems,… the little that he needs,… it’s home
The little that he sees, ..is nothing. He concedes,. it’s home…
And all that he frees,… a little bittersweet,.. it’s home…
It’s nothing as it seems,.. the little that you see,.. it’s home…
The waiting drove me mad…you’re finally here and I’m a mess
I take your riches back…can’t let you roam inside my head
I don’t want to take what you can give…
I would rather starve than eat your bread…
I would rather run but I can’t walk…
Guess I’ll lie alone just like before…
Letter in The Times:
Sir,
In Essex, not only have reference books and a splendid music library disappeared but professional librarians are also a vanishing species, having been replaced by library assistants. To add to the dumbing down we are told that information may be obtained from the “hello desk”.

(I realise that points 5 & 7 are negated by the remaining points but chill…I’m just messing yeah?)
