Principle Owner, Grievous Angels Entertainment/Even Field Records
Performing Arts | Greater Seattle Area, US
* I am a private music instructor, teaching mainly gifted children, as well as children with special learning needs (sensory issues, ADHD, austism, Asperger's, etc.). This amazing dichotomy is often appropriately referred to as Twice Exceptional, or 2e.
* I opened Even Field Recordings in late 2011, and have signed several artists who will be putting records out on the label in 2012.
* Under the Grievous Angels Entertainment umbrella, I've also started a Music Industry Consultant business. After running Indiegrrl for 8 years and doing work including PR/Booking/Promotion/Sales/Customer Service/Radio Promotion/etc., releasing six studio records, two live records, being nominated for two Grammy awards, and touring the country extensively as both a performing artist and music conference speaker, I have a depth and breadth of knowledge regarding the industry that is unique.

Label Owner/Record Producer/Engineer / Even Field Recordings
I founded Even Field Records in September of 2011 as a subsidiary of Grievous Angels Entertainment. Several artists are signed and being produced, and will release records on the label in 2012.
In previous years, I traveled 250+ dates per year from 1999-2003, (home schooling my then 4-7 year old daughter on the road), coast to coast and throughout Europe, performing and interacting with people from all walks of life. I have released 8 records: six studio records and two live records. I have given hundreds of radio and television interviews across the country, including three spots on the national radio program, NPR's "All Things Considered", and an interview and performance on Oprah Winfrey's "Oxygen" network. I now perform locally several times per year, and am working on my ninth studio record of original music.

Board Member / University of Washington: School of Music, Audio Engineering
I am mainly asked to give my experience and opinions on how to grow the community of female students who are interested in sound engineering. (I am still volunteering here, but I didn't want this position to come up as my "current job".)

Music Teacher / http://www.learningmusician.com/hollyor
I have given private music lessons for the last 7 years to students ranging from 4-17 years old, as well as the occasional adult. Most of my students are home schooled, gifted, have special needs, or are twice exceptional learners. I have had to use multiple teaching tactics, figuring out how each child best learns (which intelligence they are most likely to learn with, whether spatial, visual, auditory, etc), and create individualized lesson plans, based on their psychological, OT, 504 plan, IEP and/or school reports.

Founder/CEO / Grievous Angels Entertainment
Under the Grievous Angels Entertainment umbrella, I've also started a Music Industry Consultant business. GA is an entertainment/PR company. I ran this company concurrently with Indiegrrl to
support the organizations activities, and after selling Indiegrrl, I have used the company
as 1) an independent consulting firm, specializing in helping artists succeed in the
independent music industry, 2) a PR company, running press and radio campaigns for touring
artists: sending out press releases through email and/or snail mail, depending on the
recipient, following up with email and phone calls, reporting back to the artist on how
their record is charting on the radio, or how their record has been received by press.
Ability to keep impeccable hourly records in Excel, work under incredible promotional
deadlines, and keep my clients informed of their status' with my company are a must.

Pediatric Auditory Brainstem Response Technician / Swedish Medical Center
I was responsible for organizing the day's work for myself and also for between 4-8 other
screeners. I would then dole out the paperwork, and depending on how many infants there
were to screen, would divide the other tasks by unit and screener. The main of my
responsibility was to inform parents of the legalities involved in screening their infant
and put them at ease about the screening process. When that was accomplished, I could do
the actual, physical screen as safely and efficiently as possible. Customer service, time
management, and the ability to put brand new mothers at ease played a huge role in my work
with Swedish Medical Center.

Bainbridge Kids Care / nonprofit
In 2006, my then ten year old daughter wanted to do something to help the victims of the Indian ocean tsunami that devastated parts of the region. We decided the best way to help was to raise money to build a school, since so many people who were left behind already had their basic needs met, but were not being educated because of lack of schools. She decided on the name "Bainbridge Kids Care", and we organized giant multi family garage sales, bake sales, and other events to raise money. In cooperation with an organization called "Free the Children", we were able to raise $8500, and build a school in Sri Lanka. My daughter won an award from BYS (Bainbridge Youth Services) called "Kids with Heart" for her efforts. My role was to organize hundreds of children and adults, work closely with kids who wanted to help but didn't know how, and to manage the income of these events so all proceeds could go to Sri Lanka.

Founder/CEO / Indiegrrl/Indiegrrl Records
Created the first and largest internet based international organization for women in the
independent music industry of its kind. Founded a record label (Indiegrrl Records) that
gained national attention and major distribution through the US. I have been a panelist
and keynote speaker at conferences all over the country, and continue to be considered a
"music business expert", and give talks at dozens of music industry conferences and
conventions. Organized Oprah Winfrey's "Oxygen Television Network Oxygen Tank Tour", and
several interactive "Indiegrrl Tours" with hundreds of artists across the country. At the
height of the organization, I was independently managing different aspects of the careers
of 5,000 women internationally. Indiegrrl.com was the online organizational tool that was
used for the dual purpose of getting artists together in real time, and giving those who
needed support, but were isolated in far flung towns a way to communicate with other
artists.
