There’s our Cherbear! Yesterday was amazing ♡ Every detail of it begins now: Kaiying and I met up with Sherri and Jialin at 10 to queue for the event and there were already 10-20 people sitting there and we were like OH NO. Then we went in and saw the WaveHouse and lounged about for a bit before going outside to queue. Every hour that passed till 7, we would highfive each other “WOO WE MADE IT PAST ANOTHER HOUR” and maybe get drinks once in a while. At about 12, I met two awesome girls, Eri and Megan. They were so young and made me feel like a grandma but they were really fun and made me laugh. Let’s just say we sang lots of stuff haha :) Then Lorry, Sarah, Samuel and Mich came - long time no see :’) As the day went by, Lorry and I went to get drinks for another Sarah and her friend, so some how she introduced me to Pure Vanilla from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, which is super duper nice. So pre-event was pretty much tiresome :( 9 hours for Cherbear! When we went in Jialin and I rushed in later than everyone else and somehow found a gap pretty close to the stage. So we went there to try to inch our way to the front. Then, there was a point where there was only one girl blocking Jialin and I. She was very nice, she lent me a marker :3 Anyway minutes before the event even started, she suddenly turned around and apparently felt sick. Then there was a two people wide space right in front of her and me and Jialin DASHED to the barricade and were like “OH MY GOD WE’RE IN FRONT” I had no clue where the others were until our eyes met a few times during the concert :) They had a good view from the centre and it seemed like fun! I felt like I had an awesome spot because we were right at the corner of the protruding part of the stage and the barricade was closest there. I don’t know how to explain it, but let’s just say, I could easily touch the stage and that meant I could easy touch CHER AHHH :D The Panda Rock Out 2012 was basically an event promoting the Chengdu Pambassadors who are in favour of saving pandas from endangerment. It was a really cool event in my opinion haha. Cheryl was a really good host and it was Adam’s first time on his own 👍 The first gig was The Great Spy Experiment, a rock band, and they were really good! I have one or two songs I want to check out some other day :) I was thoroughly enjoying listening to the live rock music with the keyboardist, the bass and lead guitarists, the lead singer and the drummer. I couldn’t hear much of the lyrics though. Then Juliet Simms from The Voice came on and wooow her voice is really good. Out of tune at some parts but very strong yet vulnerable and beautiful. Pardon me for being a little critical about vocals *cough* I really like her song Black Revenge. There was a Dresstronomy fashion show showcasing the work of two designers working with the black and white theme of course. That was pretty cool. THEN IT WAS TIME FOR CHERBEAR AHHH SCREAM! Anyway so what happened was she walked out ever so adorably, just like her X Factor audition - I seriously had a flashback - and she came out and was so beautiful and sang just like the studio versions with a little tweak here and there ♡ She was everything I imagined her to be ♡ I went really cray singing and rapping all the lyrics that 2 bodyguards stood in front of me in case I wanted to pounce on her - which I probably would have… She looked into my eyeballs and sang to me for a line or two and I just felt so so happy! Then after she was done, :’( :’( :’( we shouted encore encore but she didn’t :( So Cheryl asked us to sing a song and we picked Oath! Then we all rapped together and I kinda took the mic for me and Jialin (eheh) when Cheryl put it at our faces and we rapped into the mic :3 I wanted to stay but honestly it was going to go on till 2.30am and we were super tired so we decided to leave at 11ish look for the others who were looking for Cher outside the performers’ tent. WHEN SHE CAME OUT OH BOY PEOPLE. WERE. PUSHING. Super stoked for Ky because she got her album SIGNED ahhhh that’s cray! I was waving my CD about but was too far away :’( The security guard and Lorry are really nice for helping her get it signed!! Then some of us went to go find Cher and some of us went to chill at Macs for a while. Everyone was so nice and I was the happiest girl ever yesterday so :’) This would probably be my last late night of fun till the end of freakin’ O’s. Studying in the queue was a fail bahaha. And yeah, that was pretty much my yesterday. I slept like a baby because my whole body was aching and I just wanted to sleep :3 Probably should have blogged that but I don’t currently own one… Thinking of starting after O’s.
