- Proactively involved in MSN Japan homepage related business development deals, was able to close deals with mixi (Japan’s #1 social network with more than 20M users), and added mixi module on MSN Japan homepage prior to the MSN US homepage adding Twitter and Facebook.
- Started the first ever Twitter account for MSN Japan (@msnjapan) – tweeting the latest news & content from various MSN Japan channels, rapidly increasing the number of followers, now with 3.7K followers.
- Responsible for most of the global engineering MSN products (Bing/MSN Toolbar, MSN Optimized IEs, MSN Today) – MSNOIE8 was a tremendous success in FY10, doubled the number of installs compared to MSNOIE7.
- Responsible for MSN Japan mobile product management – launched MSN Sankei News for iPhone in Jul 2010, our first ever MSN-branded iPhone app, hit #1 in Japan App Store with more than 200K downloads in the first 2 months.
-Named as the SEO Champ for MSN Japan, improved the network-wide SEO performance 148% YoY in FY10.
- Responsible for all digital content activities for MTV Japan – both in building content strategy and running operation.
- Deeply invested in TV-Online digital synergy – started “backstage live blogging” in 2007, performing more than 500K video streams on the day of MTV Video Music Awards event.
- Launched MTV-branded mobile social network – managed relations with record labels and artist managements to bring Japanese artists on board, and have them blog and tweet exclusive content on MTV digital platform.
- Responsible for Chaku-uta (mastertones) service – started with KDDI, one of the major mobile carriers in Japan, offering 30-40 sec real piece of music download directly to cell phones. 2 other major mobile carriers eventually picked it up and supported the service as well, becoming a national phenomenon with billions of monthly downloads each month.
- Started the first ever mobile video services – in partner with mobile carriers, defining the business model from scratch.
- Creative director for artist official websites – acting as a product manager as well, managing the overall performance of Sony Music artist official websites.
- Product Manager for the first ever wireless music download service – started a brand new business for mobile carriers, partnering with content owners. Also partnering with IBM, Sony, Panasonic, and SHARP, discussed and defined the hardware/software specs for the brand new service.
