There have been rumblings about some of the new additions to the iOS 5.0 bluetooth stack and hardware in iPhone 4S. ex: [link]
So lets poke around the Core Bluetooth Framework in the Xcode documentation and see what kinds of new things will be possible with this API.

We love this product as it improves an area of our lives that is very important but has been allowed to stay static with little technical innovation let alone any good design. It is also a great example of hardware, software and the web tied together to make a better experience.
In addition to the device, the Nest mobile and desktop software is really easy to use and allows you to control multiple thermostats when away from home. That will be useful this winter to get your home toasty warm by the time you get off the train or out of your car.
