GRABBEL AND THE FINAL CUT

They were a band...  from Lüneburg, Germany...  in the 90s...

Today you'd possibly tag them “shoegaze” or “noise pop”. Their Psycho Popsong
was meant to be THE teenage shoegaze anthem from Germany. Unfortunately only
very few people have had the privilege of hearing it back in 1991, because the band
never signed a record contract.

And so it only happened in and around Hamburg, that indie-pop kids excitedly dropped
a tape into their Walkman, listening to some obscure cassette EP which they bought
directly from the band at their concert last night.

But here’s the deal for anyone who was not around in Hamburg back then:

Recently the original master tapes of some Grabbel and The Final Cut recordings
have surfaced. They got carefully restored and remastered, and the Brooklyn based
Captured Tracks label has released the band's Get Your Feet Back On The
Ground EP
in January 2012.

Grabbel and The Final Cut took this opportunity to revive the band. They are playing live
again and have started working on new material for prospective releases. It won’t
take another 20 years until these see the light of day, so please stay tuned…

Are there any questions...?
