Gary R. Fournier
For the past six years, Gary R. Fournier has managed a roster of high net-worth clients, initially with Bear Stearns Companies, Inc and since the firm's 2008 takeover, with JPMorgan Chase & Co. Prior to his current position as Managing Director, Mr. Fournier served for five years as Senior Vice President with UBS/Payne Webber, expanding his client list to become the firm's largest money manager. Gary R. Fournier left the firm after the full transition of the merged firm into UBS Wealth Management USA. Gary R. Fournier earned his MBA in Finance in the 1970's. He began his career with Boston-headquartered White Weld & Co, ultimately running their Century City office and becoming one of the firm's youngest Partners until White Weld was taken over by Merrill Lynch in 1978. Throughout the 1980's, Mr. Fournier served as a Partner with Kidder Peabody & Co, assisting a number of high-profile corporate clients in the health care field. He undertook a groundbreaking over-the-counter shelf registration with Maxicare Health Plans, Inc and Fremont Insurance's founding partners, and also handled several transactions with the global telecom company, Global Crossing. Gary R. Fournier left Kidder Peabody in 1993 when it was bought out by Payne Webber, accepting a Senior Vice President position with Smith Barney. He continued in this position for the better part of a decade, managing assets for high-profile clients. In 2001, Mr. Fournier joined UBS/Payne Webber, a position he continued until 2006. By the time he left the firm, he was recognized as its leading money manager. Gary R. Fournier has supported a number of charitable enterprises over the years, including the Flight 93 National Memorial effort, the Boys & Girls Club of Los Angeles Harbor, and the San Pedro-based Toberman Neighborhood Center. The latter organization is dedicated to reducing poverty through educational strategies leading to rewarding employment. Gary R. Fournier stays active by running and has competed in several marathons.
