Over the past weekend, I was apart of a presentation and panel group discussion for the ATG 2013 Groundbreakers Speak: A Conversation with Movers and Shakers. Sharing the room with the likes of very accomplished, very intelligent, very intuitive, and very passionate, high-profile Asians made me think to myself as I was sitting in front of everyone…“WTF am I doing here?”
But seriously, it was an EXTREME honor to be invited out by ATG to share my passions, my love for life and my brand for the many people who swung through to the Crow Collection. Look they even gave me a certificate. Cool!
Even cooler was Dat Nguyen. I followed his career when he played at Texas A&M and with the Dallas Cowboys so for me to be sitting on the same panel as him discussing passions and Asian traditionalism vs. the modern day Asian? Mannnn….you got to be kidding me. But no, it really did happen. So cool.
On the other side of me were Lily Jang (Emmy nominated Journalist TV Host and News Anchor at KHOU), Richard Jung (Lawyer/Advocate/Politician) and Tanya Pinto (Founder of Baal Dan Charities). Like I said earlier…“WTF am I doing here?”
Was it rude taking pictures instead of listening to what was going on? -_______-
VP of Programming and Brand Integration at HGTV and DIY Network, Kent Takano…
After everyone’s presentations and panel discussion, I got to meet up with old AND new Fur Face Boy fans…
I gave stuff away…
It was good talking to you Alexander! Keep drawing and making art : )
A HUGE thank you to Nikki! Nikki is an ATG board member, longtime FFB fan and was the one who nominated me to be apart of this amazing event after she heard me speak a few months back at the Public Trust Gallery. She also has a awesome line of custom made handbags called Cykochik! Please check out her bags and other goods HERE!
Everyone loves Dat Nguyen!
Here’s a short video of the day…
It was an amazing and very inspirational day! To hear all of the stories and tales from like-minded, hardworking and passionate individuals really sparked me to continue to push and make Fur Face Boy even bigger and better! Again, thank you to the ATG for inviting me to be apart of this event and to the many people who came out to get inspired and motivated to do, start or continue with their own passions!

This past weekend I was MEGA-BORED, so I decided to getaway from things by taking a 5 hour drive away from DFW to the Texas Hill Country. Check out the underrated beauty of my state…
There’s something about those middle of nowhere, peaceful, empty, long and winding roads that really make you think…
Windmill lyyyyyyyyte…
“MooOOooOooooooo…”
- Cow(s)
Only in Texas…
Long may she wave…
Nothing says country like jarred food…
All chocolate everything…
Old-fashion feel…

Toilet field…
Breathtaking…
So peaceful…
There are so many cool places to visit in Texas. More TX roadtrips to come ; )
Usually, I’d save a post like this for my RANDOM blog, but this was TOO cool not to post on my main blog…
Yesterday I was super bored, so I killed some time at my old employer, Half Price Books. While there, I searched through the art books, design books, t-shirt books, comic books, CD’s and the video games section where I found some brand spank’n new, still shrink-wrapped, non-dinged, non-creased, IMMACULATE Nintendo NES 8-bit video games! These are the games I grew up with and though the NES system that’s crammed wayyyyyy back in my closet probably doesn’t even work anymore, just the fact that these game were SO MINT and the fact that I’m such a sucker for nostalgia, let alone ORIGINALS, I HAD to buy them! Do you remember any of these classic gems?
Bo Jackson was LITERALLY UNSTOPPABLE in this game! SEE HERE!!!
I used to bean my brother on purpose when I played Major League Baseball on the NES…
Remember when you could fight and play Gradius at half-time in Blades of Steel?
Remember when you made an all fat team in Ice Hockey but they were so slow!
An 8-bit remote control car racing video game?! Uhhhh…..YES!
Ahhhhh…..NES memories…
4/06/13 UPDATE: I showed my mega video game enthusiast friend these games and he let me know that these games are in ‘like new’ condition and are resealed and not factory sealed. He said he could immediately tell because the seal is not the official ‘H’ seal on the back and the seals don’t have vent holes. I was a bit bummed when he told me this, but still thought these finds was awesome -_________-

After 2 days of music, beer, junkfood and walking, I drove 3 hours from Austin back home to Dallas with my friends, Brent and Elaine. As we drove home, we talked about how our lives continue to rot away with each passing second. Yay.
P.S. See more pics AND video from SXSW on my instagram and Vine (@furfaceboy).

After a bit of a hiatus, Fur Face Boy is back with a super limited release. The drop includes six new tees, one zip-up hoodie, as well as sticker and button packs. I’m a huge, HUGE, fan of Fur Face Boy. His designs are playful and everything he puts out is top quality. I’m still consistently rocking tees that I got from him over a year ago.
Act quickly, because each item was produced in extremely limited numbers. He’s already out of XS’s, or maybe he didn’t produce any, so I’m out of luck. But, hopefully you can get goods in your size. Make your orders via Fur Face Boy.
