His new LP There Is Love in You (Domino Records, 25 January 2010); #35 UK, #157 US is just another example of how this guy stays way ahead of the curve. In this remix, he uses a swinging, pulsating beat and some synth/bass lines that create a whimsical feeling, making me close my eyes and still bob around the dance floor simultaneously. The Pantha du Prince full length, Black Noise (2010) is another solid release from Hendrick Weber. His sound hasn’t evolved much, but his production skills have gotten smoother. I always felt he did the minimal tech-house thing better than everyone else.
