Summary

I am a graphic designer first and foremost, but I also have a passion for marketing. Studying marketing has complemented my design education and I have had the opportunity to learn how graphic design is applied to the promotion of products and where it fits within a marketing mix.

Recently I entered the world of web design and have taken a great interest in front-end development. I plan to continue growing as a web designer by expanding my knowledge of planning and developing web pages.

    Web Designer / San Jose State University
    Responsible for the design and layout of various university websites, including the university homepage, news pages, top-level pages and all sites owned by University Advancement and the Office of the President. Creating and editing graphics and photography for websites, performing maintenance and updates to existing sites, and assisting Web Services with the technical aspects of websites.
  • Jan 2010 - Oct 2011
    Graphic / Web Designer / NASA Ames Research Center
    Designing and developing a number of websites for the NASA Ames Mars Climate Modeling Group and BAER Institute. Includes working with members to develop content, organize a interface-flow diagram, and determine the overall design layout. Wireframe layouts and Photoshop mockups are utilized, as well as content management systems when content management is required.

    Print work includes, research poster layouts, slide presentation design and graphic illustrations of Mars related content.

    Assistant Graphic Designer / New Mexico State University
    Developed concepts and visual solutions for a number of brochures, direct mail pieces, logos, greeting cards, and other print collateral. Created and edited images and graphics for website use. Applied skills include pre-press and print production techniques, layout composition, and designing and editing graphics, illustrations and photographs.
