for brands seeking to enrich their digital presence.
I'm a digital media strategist, innovator, and entrepreneur fascinated with the intersection of art, technology, and digital culture. I'm also an avid designer, developer, and creative enthusiast with a portfolio that includes photography, frontend web development, and interactive installation art.
Alumni fundraising, transformed.
GradMap uses social profiles and an innovative interface to personalize campaign participation, transforming the typical "honor roll" into an interactive and up-to-date alumni reconnection and networking tool. As Founder + CEO, I've bootstrapped and led the design, development, and pilot testing for an alpha version of the application in collaboration with UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Just a few days ago I launched the first three pilot campaigns for GradMap—a lightweight software platform which combines information visualization with social gaming mechanics to improve participation rates in alumni reunion fundraising campaigns.
The GradMap platform—initially conceived five years ago during my MBA studies at UC Berkeley—represents countless hours of design, development, ideation and iteration with a small team of incredible developers. These first pilot campaigns will run through June 30, 2012, and nine more will launch in the Fall. Visit http://gradmap.com to reserve a spot on the beta list!

Sometimes it’s just too difficult to describe a visual change you’d like to make on a website. In comes Notable to the rescue. Though their recently-modified business model means that you’ll need to pay $19/month for basic access, it’s well worth it if you do a lot of communication around visual designs. There are a few cheaper competitors out there including Invision, though I’ve found that their commenting tools can’t replicate Notable’s draw-a-box-and-note-it approach.

With over 35 galleries featuring 1-2 exhibitions every month, Bergamot Station’s website presented some unique redesign and development challenges. After 3 months of design collaboration with Shannon St. Clair and Bergamot Administrators, thoughtful coding, and onsite training, the new Bergamotstation.com represents an innovation both in content presentation and collection—as all 35 of Bergamot’s galleries can now dynamically update this website at their convenience, and Bergamot visitors can quickly assess the diverse array of exhibitions currently taking place at the Santa Monica, CA facility.
