Johanna Salisbury ’15 (L) sent us this photo from Granada, Spain.
“I've been in Granada for about a month now, and I'm loving every second of it—and improving my Spanish a lot. [Attached] is a picture from a hike my roommate and I went on to Carmen de los Mártires, a villa right next to the Alhambra, a medieval Arabic fortress that was converted into a Christian palace when the Moors lost control of Granada in 1492. It's up in the mountains, and the view of the Sierra Nevada is spectacular! Granada is a city made for hiking—it's in the mountains, and there are very few busses that run in the city itself, so walking anywhere becomes something of a hike.”
