COURSE OF THE FORCE: COURSE OF THE FORCE: Created sales proposals and assisted in development of overall event sponsorship sales strategy, drafted and executed sponsor agreements, sponsor invoicing and payments. Developed and maintained relationships with sponsors by serving as day to day contact, as well as onsite sponsor activation and event execution. Coordinated over 450 participants for the inaugural Course of the Force, a promotional Star Wars lightsaber relay benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Implemented a participant registration and charity fundraising program in addition to serving as point of contact for all participant communication and participant onsite needs. Maintained event financials including; creating event budget, budget reconciliation, drafting P.O.’s, and vendor invoicing. Fulfilled and ensured compliance with California state and local government special event permitting. Constructed and implemented event operational plans with route logistics, maps and timing. Managed onsite staff, talent and vendors including; detailed R.O.S., travel scheduling, negotiating and securing hotel accommodations
SAS CHAMPIONSHIP & REX HOSPITAL OPEN: Served as Volunteer Coordinator for both the 2011 SAS Championship and 2011 REX Hospital Open, managing over 1300 volunteers across two events. Managed and organized volunteer data using volunteer management system; assigned volunteers tournament roles based upon interests and skills. Responsible for all volunteer communication and correspondence via email and online newsletters, as well as creating and updating volunteer manuals and training tools. Led volunteer management system training, and volunteer division meetings prior to each event. Organized "Link to Green" Networking event during the SAS Championship, contacting more than 20 local chambers and professional business groups.
Assisted in all aspects of event planning and coordination including; day of coordination for ceremonies and receptions, vendor sourcing and communication, etc.
Wrote Press releases and interest articles for Auburn Athletic website.Used Datavolley and other data programs to update scores and track statistics during events and games. Responsible for updating various athletic media guides using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
my newly adopted life theory: Don’t be afraid to be different, to standout, to be weird, or stand up for what you like or believe in, even if that means going against the grain for a little while. You should never have to apologize for who you are, or who you’re trying to be. Most importantly, don’t ever try to be like anyone else; spend everyday creating yourself.
Go places, see things. Let your mind wander and grow. Be selfish, be crazy, do things just for you and enjoy every second of it. You only have a short time in the world, make it count.
