We’ve now played 3 shows, and the feedback is that we’re growing from strength to strength, which is nice. The third of those shows was a last minute slot opening for Trophy Wife in Night and Day. It was a very useful experience for us playing in a “proper” music venue - we’re still trying to get the hang of soundchecks; figuring out what we want and then articulating what we want to the button pushers and the knob swivellers.
So, all is going swimmingly you might feel. Well, you’d be wrong. You idiot. Nothing is ever easy, you should know that by now. How old are you anyway? …yeah, I know I’m youthful looking, but we’re not talking about me are we?
To the point: Alan, our drummer, has broken a bone in his hand, which must smart somewhat. It’s his right one as well. Geez.
This puts us out of action for the summer. We’ll try and get some more demo recordings done to add to the four below in the meantime.
However, our upcoming shows on 28th June supporting Dark Lights and on 13th July for the Carefully Planned Announcement party are still on, all thanks to this man:
Yes, thanks very much to John Wallace (previously of Liverpudlian Indie-Rock legends Voo) for stepping in at short notice to cover for Alan. We’ll have to also teach John Alan’s trademark “woop”s - it wouldn’t be an E Numbers show with out them.
So, here’s to hoping Alan will make a swift recovery and that he’ll become incredibly strong in his left arm and be able to lift us all up with his crazy hulk-esque muscles.
Bye for now
