The lattest addition to my equipment is this wicked brand new sound devices 744t portable 4 track recorder. It generates timecode for syncing with cameras and sync boxes. the ideal tool for double system recording.
Earlier on this year i got two of those SMQV Lectrosonics transceivers wireless packs. One great feature is that they have variable power outputs that can go from 50 to 250 milliwatt output power. they re ultra reliable and sound quality is exceptionnal.
The transceivers go hand in hand with my two Sanken COS-11D lavalier microphones. The sound of those really matches the shotgun microphone.
This is the dual receiver that i use with the transceivers. It uses hybdrid technology that automatically selects the best signal to be used to prevent any radio drifting. It can also monitor your transmitter's battery level from distance. Light, simple and super reliable.
And then we have the alphamix mixer that i ve been using for a while now. It is all analog and very flexible in terms of wiring and powering possibilities. It uses an LP-1 batterie that powers out to the sound devices recorder and the wireless reciever. Simple and reliable.
This is my shotgun microphones. It s the Neumann KMR-81, it s great to reject unwanted noises and really helps to isolate dialogue. This is what i use most of the time.
Here we have the Crown Sass-P MK II. It s a stereo microphone that emulates human earing. I mostly use it to provide stereo room tones. Works like magic on busy urban situations.
My CS-1 studio microphone is primarily used for off-cam voices recordings. sounds great in controlled environments.
This is a Senheiser G2 500 wireless pack. I got three transciever/receiver kits. I now mostly use them as direct playback used on set by director and script (sometimes called comteks). They can also be used as additionnal wireless mics kits.
Finally, onset recording needs bunch of different cables, wind screens, batteries, adaptors, etc.. I got it all, in a compact and travel friendly kit. Provides great audio everytime. Contact me for further questions.
