Beginning the new year in the same fashion I ended the last year. With a promo mix :). So, the first promo mix of 2011 is more deep, dark and driving, ending up in an uplifting mode.

This mix was recorded some week ago, while my daughter Nadine was charmingly deep asleep. By the way, she’s really got the rhythm! She will begin some playful dancing class in Växjö this Fall, she really loves music! And the moves e. g. found in “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé (the video).

When this mix was recorded, the biggest event for net and social web nerds in Sweden was taking place – Sweden Social Web Camp, http://swedensocialwebcamp.com. 2009 gathering 286 attendees, and this year 404 (!), all sharing their input with a crowd-organized lecturing event – “unconference” – in a beautiful archipelago setting. Last year I attended (not this year, obviously – being with my daughter in Norrköping), and just in case brought my CD pack. Happen to be that I could make a spontaneous gig, after Alex Esser who also brought the equipment and PA, and what a gig! Starting at around 1.30, I played all night until sunrise…

With a quite mainstream audience music tastewise, I took some dance/house/EDM remixes of some popular songs from pop, soul and rock. It went down very well, and the roof of the barn almost flew off :). Here are some of the highlights from which I could remember I played, in a 90 minute mix.
