Recognize their voices? Maybe? Believe it or not this is the same choir that recorded with Passion Pit on their latest album. More info about that on their blog here.

    ABC Network Logo Montage

    <object height="417" width="500"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HcDf3jv4vp4&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"/><param name="wmode" value="window"/><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="417" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HcDf3jv4vp4&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500"></embed></object>

This is a cool montage of ABC logos from 1954–Present. It's interesting to see how much animation and design have evolved for the network over the past half a century.

On this same note of network branding, I must say that right now my favorite on air branding is NBC's. Check out it out on Capacity's site here.

    Witty Airplane Design

I thought this airplane redesign was super clever. Must have been fun to design this.

    Photographer: Julian Calverley

I'm really fascinated by these gritty & grainy underwater images shot by stock photo photographer Julian Calverley. Overall he has an excellent portfolio, but these underwater photos are by far my fav. More images here.

    Flowing Organic Pieces

Yesterday Jonna sent me a link to these super cool images of varnish flowing in a bowl of water (see below the video). At first I was thinking they were 3D, but I discovered they were actually shot on a Canon Rebel. Pretty impressive.

So it's a coincidence that today I came across this video that seems similar to the varnish images but in motion (yes this is 3d). This piece below is titled 'Nokta', which is an abstract film about organic pieces.

    <object height="281" width="500"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9856705&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=1&amp;color=00ADEF&amp;fullscreen=1"/><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="281" src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9856705&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=1&amp;color=00ADEF&amp;fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500"></embed></object>

This piece of New York City in miniature is lovely. Can't wait to do something like this for a big event that's coming up in August.

OK Go - This Too Shall Pass

    <object height="417" width="500"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qybUFnY7Y8w&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"/><param name="wmode" value="window"/><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="417" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qybUFnY7Y8w&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500"></embed></object>

After watching this music video I was wondering who the crap would think of this idea and then be able to build it. So I looked it up. Turns our Syyn Labs created the Rube Goldberg machine for Ok Go's latest music video. It took 60 times over 2 days to complete the video. I know for a fact that I would not have the patience for this kind of project. But I can definitely appreciate it. More info about the video here.
