Out on May 17th, 2013Genre bender Phon.o finds new perfection in merging UK bass music with techno, garage and even house music. Not in a wild mash-up kind of way, but very organic and natural sounding. “Schn33” is a guaranteed floor filler for all kinds of dance music Djs. Perfectly supplemented with a strong B-Side, this might be the strongest Phon.o single yet.
Deft - Space Hardware
Space Hardware unleashed its second release following the genre defiant label opener from Placeholder. Taking the reins for this outing is Croydon based Deft (whom spotters will recognise as the man behind the opening track on MJC’s recent DJ Kicks) with help from fast rising yet already legendary vocalist Om’mas Keith. The resulting EP goes way off the beaten track into a deep and far off world of analogue sci-fi sonics.

Who closes his eyes, listens to ones own heart pounding.<br><br>What makes the three tracks on this EP so unmistakable?<br>Is it the broken beats, which have been fundamentally compiled and have obviously not been sampled from some other record? Or is it a striking courage to bring honest creations into being which in its origin hasn't got anything to do with fishing for compliant trends.<br><br>Yet what is certain: this music travels its own route towards the sun!<br>
- 3 tracks (05:24)While snowflakes whirl around outside in the cold, the 4th EP of JooLs is causing the effect of an inner hot wine punch of musical sorts. Houserhythms and warm basslines consumed on i-pod, homestereo or club soundsystem function as medicine to guide artfully through dark winter times.<br><br>"Vortex" holds the energy of summer and fluidizes with weightless percussions and a counteracting funky beat.<br><br>"Fealty" snugs itsself with 124 BPM on a faithful soul. The subtle mix of Disco- and Deep Dechhouse ticles a cheerful smile from deep inside on many faces.<br><br>Concluding, "Mole" digs itsself with its catchy melody simply into brains. Deep, instrumental Housemusic, keeping its composure in spite of the indentation.
