Sooooo adorable
For some moments in life there are no words.
absolutely…
It was one year ago, and today, like everyday since, is just another reminder to cherish those around you and to make the most of what you have. There is no greater privilege in life than life itself…
The problem is that we cannot choose everything simultaneously. So we live in danger of becoming paralyzed by indecision, terrified that every choice might be the wrong choice. Equally disquieting are the times when we do make a choice, only to later feel as thought we have murdered our aspect of our being by settling on one single concrete decision.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something. So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever.
From my lucky red pocket at the Fo Guang Shan Temple tonight…
There is nothing here worth our troubling over.
We should learn to overlook storms in a teacup.
We should get up from where we have fallen, then the whole world is ours to enjoy.
Everyone stop what you are doing! Get up and exercise! This is a video that goes through the benefits of physical activity on your long term health. All you need is 30 minutes a day minimum!
Here to our health in 2012!
great video, perfect for reinforcing reasons to get more active and maintaining a balanced/healthy lifestyle!
There’ll be a meteor shower tonight starting around 11:30 pm PST/2:30 am EST with an estimated 100 shooting stars per hour!
To photograph stars streaking across the sky, go for
- A high ISO
- Wide aperture
- Slow shutter speed (start with 30 seconds & adjust from there)
Read more details at NASA.

I haven’t blogged here in centuries (or so it feels like) so I thought I would pick it up again :) (or at least try)
Where to begin -
In a nutshell:
Work is nutty (excuse the nut references!)
Days are longer than desirable – BUT that only means greater opportunities are on the horizon, right? *fingers crossed*
Trying to still go to hot yoga and de-stress, learn to let go, focus on positive things in my life, and move forward with every new breath of oxygen =) It’s no wonder people are so attracted to yoga these days (hot or not)… in this day and age where people are always “on the go” and “busy” it’s nice to be able to take a step back and practice something that impacts your heart, mind and soul. Ultimately for me, it’s 60-min of ”no thinking” because by the time it’s 8:30PM at night I don’t want to think about my brand strategy, business performance or what’s left on my to-do list this week – I just want to hold on to “that moment” and it totally, completely, delivers.
Anyways – It feels like COCONUTS have taken over my life lately! All for the better I’d hope. More on that at a later date :)
Besides that there’s nothing really new to report.
KHC still keeps a BIG cheesy grin on my face :)
Montreal was another adventure, our first on Canadian soil and definitely not our last! Although, I must say I do miss Florida and our adventures at Disney shucks!
Keep the goodness coming, mister. I cannot wait to spend a real summer with you (we only got the tailwind of it when we first got together last year!) haahaa SO MANY things to do! Let the planning begin.
But it starts with girls trip to NYC for Victoria Day weekend (without you! uh0ohh!) currently, in the works, but hoping we can make happen! Can’t wait.
Some visuals:
To Be Continued…
“Life is about moments of impact…” Absolutely !!!
Watched The Vow this weekend and it was undoubtedly a tear-jerker! (surprisingly so!)
My favourite words, their vows… had me crying literally like 5-minutes into the movie, so sweet *sigh i’m a sucker
“I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness, and to have the patience that love demands. To speak when words are needed, and to share the silence when they’re not. To agree to disagree on red velvet cake, and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.” -Paige
“I vow to love you. And no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other. I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.” – Leo
Anyways, apologies to my body… I’m sick-ish again. My colleagues pointed it out to me that I seem to get the flu/sniffles/cough quite often = TRUE. Need to sleep more, rest more, drink more fluids…yes.
Feels like life has been pretty jam-packed lately… so going to jot down a couple of awesome highlights:
- WVRST with Connie and May – Boo at the horrible host at the door, but the atmosphere was lively. Tried elk, bison, veal sausage :) Curryvurst! German beer, goodness! but $$$ LOVE: duck fat fries
- Fred’s Not Here for lunch with the girls <3, in love now with the lobster bisque :) lovely! Great Seafood pasta as well… It’s so funny, I thought I’ve never been at this restaurant before and little did I know – I HAVE! so this is encounter #2 and it definitely was a good one!
- Early Valentine’s day celebrations with KHC .. Dinner at Spencer’s At the Waterfront (elk burger and pickerel – SUPER good fish!) surprise at Bisque It for painting ceramics … Princess and her Frog (aka. Prince Charming!) teehee can’t wait to get these in a few days! *will post photos :)
- Cupcakes from the Cupcake Shoppe… sweet!
- Oh and Luxy night club to celebrate Ron and Julia’s birthday
- Dozen roses :) Red and Pink from mister… You are so sweet. thank you SO much for the lovely bouquet!
- Raptors vs. Lakers game at the ACC with Team Gatorade and friends :) WHAT AN AWESOME game… 92-94, we were so close to winning, super exciting finish. Had a 3-course meal at the ACC Restaurant, the food was SUPER DUPER good :)
- Looking forward to Family Day long weekend… teehee!
