David Chirls
David Chirls came out of retirement, after a career as a business executive, to serve as a senior advisor for the start-up social media company TwoSeed, based in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Chirls’ professional history gives him the expertise to make a valuable contribution as an advisor at TwoSeed, as well as to oversee strategic planning of the company.
With more than two decades of business experience, primarily in banking, David Chirls has amassed a wealth of knowledge from positions with a number of companies. Mr. Chirls’ first job was as a manager with Citibank, N.A., following an internship with the company while in college. From Citibank, he rose to such positions as Director of Information Management for American Express Company, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for MasterCard International, and founder, owner, and President of Visual Design Group, Inc. After selling Visual Design Group, Mr. Chirls turned his attention to architecture and went to work for three different architecture firms. Before retiring in 2002, Chirls graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the Pratt Institute.
David Chirls earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University, graduating with honors in 1977. In 1981, he completed an MBA in Computer Application and Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, which he completed while working full-time for Citibank.
In his spare time, David Chirls enjoys skiing, playing golf, traveling, and cooking. He involves himself in a number of charitable organizations and works to enhance his local community.
