Silicon Valley blogger Robert Scoble caused something of a stir at this yearâs The Next Web Conference Europe, when he said that he wasnât going to live another day without a wearable …
I applaud RunKeeper and Pebble for continuing to create disruption. It seems that it would be so easy to concede the big guys will just own these spaces (Apple, Google, Nike).
I’ve been an avid user of Nike+ since 2006. Integration with GPS was the big Ah-Ha moment for me. When you created accurate pace with maps, that’s when it became invaluable. I HATE going on a run without my Nike+ Watch or iPhone.
I have a lot of time invested with Nike+, so it would difficult for me to switch. HOWEVER, the Pebble Watch being an open platform and companies like RunKeeper starting to integrate with it is pretty amazing. I applaud this entrepreneurial innovation as it will ultimately push the space forward.

Before touching on how awesome this is, let me try to allay any concerns: We’re not turning purple. Our headquarters isn’t moving. Our team isn’t changing. Our roadmap isn’t changing. And our mission – to empower creators to…
