Ever since I took part in the Nijmegen 4 day marches with Sussex Wing Air Cadets back in 2005, my feet have been wrecked. Nijmegen is a gruelling 4 day endurance March of 100 miles (25 a day), on top of 300-400 miles of training, plus various other hiking, orienteering, marching and walking expeditions. Years of wearing boots and thick socks and pounding along hard surfaces have turned my feet into the type of epidermis you usually find on the hind quarters of a rhino.
