I love blazers. I love the way they look and I love how I feel in them. Last week, GQ and Brooks Brothers hosted an event in Flatiron. I knew I had to bring out the navy blazer. I decided to pair it with three kinds of denim–yes, three!

The three denim pieces include my green denim shirt, my tan denim pants and my ombre denim bow tie. I don’t think I have ever worn so much denim at once but I love it. This was an outfit I wish I didn’t have to take off. It’s the only time I wish a day was 48 hours instead of 24 hours so I can wear it longer!

Thanks to my lovely friend, @kyleschaffler, I am now obsessed with Karmin. I couldn’t help myself from titling this post my favorite song on their album. And I guess it applies to the post because I told you that I love gray.

I took a black/gray gingham and a sparkly striped tie and hopefully made them work together. I love mixing plaid and stripes. It’s a little hard on the eyes but I think it’s more fun that way.

Anyway, I’ve been MIA the past week not because I haven’t wanted to blog, but because the stupid weather kept raining/my schedule didn’t allow for photos. But, here we have a post, finally!

Here’s part 2 to my previous post. Now, instead of spending a chilly day at the beach, let’s take it back to the city. Instead of the light colors for the beach, I went darker for city. You know how New Yorkers love dark colors!

I kept the same style–chambray shirt with pants except went with a waxed denim instead of a chino. I replaced the boat shoes with sneakers. I love vans sneakers because they are comfortable, looks great without socks and are pretty classic and clean. It’s my go to type of sneaker. I have a ton and will add a ton more.

I think the look is still keeps things casual but he dark denim gives it a little more edge than chinos. I like this look better-it’s more me. I mean, they both are me, but this screams me more.

I just got this Jack Spade bag and I am OBSESSED WITH IT! I never want to use another bag. It has a special place for my iPad. It can carry my camera. My sunglasses case can fit too! This bag is perfect. It will definitely be my summer bag! I’m so glad I came across it.

With the weather being a little cool, I decided to create a two part outfit post. This part is what I would wear to the beach on a breezy day for a stroll. The sea air is crisp and chilly that you can’t help but enjoy the serene atmosphere in a casual, relaxed outfit.

My go to warm weather shirt is chambray. I love it and can’t get enough of it. The blue is a summery blue that pairs well with a pair of chinos so it was an easy decision to make this my “beach” look. Plus, it complements my eyes. Why wouldn’t I want to make them look sexy?

Although walking on the beach I would never wear shoes, Sperry Topsiders seem to complete the look. I love me some flip flops but I’m kind of growing out of wearing them in public. They are more of “I don’t have time for shoes so I will put them on.”

Oh hey! Look who is Details for a second month in a row!

Yay! I’m continuing with color! And in this look, I just want to dance! I wish it was a summer night bar hopping while dancing the night away! I feel fun and flirty in this look! Bring on the pop music!

Actually, the title was inspired by the Glee episode this past week. It went all disco and that’s the music I grew up on so it brought back fun memories. I have all the music on repeat now. #notsorry

And here it is! My 3rd pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses. It’s sad I have that many but I love them and there will probably be more to come. I have my eyes set on many more!

I am currently loving and a huge fan of buck shoes. These white ones with neon green soles were a fun find. They hurt like a mother and I have to wear about 20 bandages but I make it work. I love them.

It’s weird to see me in colors, right? Also, I’m wearing only a t-shirt with wider legged pants than usual. WHO AM I? I’m glad I branched out (for this post at least) and there will be more in the future.

Yes, it does look like a took a highlighter to my pants to create this color. Yes, these are slim pants but I’m literally too skinny for them so they look wide-legged. Ok, I’ll stop making fun of my own pants because I actually do like them (or I wouldn’t be posting about them).

You wouldn’t think a green and grey striped shirt would look pleasantly cool with red pants, but it works. I try to mix colors and patterns that would not be the ideal choice to pair together to create an outfit. It’s how you make something different and fun! Who doesn’t want that? Think outside the box and you will be rewarded.
