The format of this fridays/24th May PXE (post ph-neutral) is a colaboration launchpad, as i see it. To attend one must bring project that failed or stalled. I’ll be bringing a few projects with me.
Bincrowd population
I wouldn’t call this a failed project as it is still up and running and provides value, in my opinion. But I would still like to populate the public bincrowd function signature database with more libraries. I will bring a private bincrowd server to test on. Whatever tools and methods we come up with should wind up public, of any value, during PXE. If you would like to participate bring your own IDA Pro >6.1. More on bincrowd at bincrowd.zynamics.com.
Panasonic HVX200 camera homebrew
This HD 3CCD camera is linux based. I stalled some years ago but recently found schematics and better documentation. With certainty we can find/rebuild a console and get working JTAG up. Next is building an SH4 linux development environment.

From a talk on hardware embedded analysis at REcon on the 10th of July. In addition to some of the information I’ve presented before, as well as some updates, myself and photographer Hanna Fuhrmann spent the better part of a couple months prior working on making the documentation of these techniques and tools more digestible with an esthetic twist.

I will be giving a workshop at the CCCB in Berlin on Embedded Analysis (starting the 12th at 20:00). Anyone is welcome and attendees are asked to bring a potential target (router, mp3 player, phone, etc) for analysis. I will walk through the process of documenting and analysis based on the information and tools I released the CCC congress last year (Video, Tutorial). If you plan to attend please let me know. If you have a target send me the details, or place them on the wiki, so that we can help find details (datasheets, etc) and create an attack plan already. If you need a place to stay feel free to contact me, perhaps I can find something.
The schedule: on the 12th we will go over the tools and attack plans. During the two weeks that follow I will be at the CCCB and people can come and go as they like to continue work on the various projects. On the 26th everyone will present their own findings. ph-neutral is on the 27th+ so anyone attending that, feel free to piggy back.
I look forward to learning something new!

- Given an Arduino compatible microcontroller JTAGenum scans pins[] for basic JTAG functionality and can be used to enumerate the IR for undocumented opcodes. - A silly command line tool for OSX that accepts r,g,b gamma thresholds from the network. hacked up for an Interaction Design concept. - When you are presented with pins that you suspect provide Serial but you do not have access to the documentation. Connect your Arduino to all of the pins (limited by the number of Ditial pins you have on your board) and this sketch will try every possible pin combination and baud rate to determine RX/TX. It will also try to send wakeup characters to stimulate the line, such as a carriage return or other txpatterns that you add. - There are many commercial FLASH memory programmers but their out of box support for different FLASH chips can be a problem, or I should say some FLASH chips just are not supported. The meaning of "Parallel" in this context means we will be connecting directly to the full address and databus of the target using shift in and out registers. - ## No more updates as of early 2010. Repository, has become too large to host at github ## Security Toolkit for hardware and software reverse engineering. Online information is not forever and some tools are too important to loose so I started archiving the important ones I use. I comment and link to the originals religiously so be sure to check the README in each directory. If you consider what you find here useful consider contributing (mail cyphunk@gmail.com and i will add you to the list of admins for this project). Items inside "often" are tools used often. "inreview" for tools that might have future use or need reworking. Items in "unoften" are useful but not as essential. I try to minimize using directories to categorize tools however sometimes when there are multiple tools for the same purpose I might branch them into a sub directory.
