Experience
- Sept 2011 - PresentAssurance Associate / Ernst & YoungI perform audit procedures aimed at corroborating financial statement accounts and analyzing variances. I have worked on both US GAAP and IFRS audits, as well as quarterly SOX testing for internationally-based clients.
- Jun 2009 - Sept 2011QA Analyst, Financial and Risk Solutions / OpenLink FinancialAs a part of the embedded quality assurance team in the Financial and Risk Solutions group managing the Findur product, I worked directly with the development team and business analysts to understand how changes in the software would affect maintenance and workflows. I tested new enhancements and fixes and created automated test scenarios of financial functions, instrument valuations and workflows to enable on-demand automated regression testing. My first year at OpenLink was as part of the manual quality assurance team within the Corporate Quality Assurance group. In that position I worked with the system on both energy and financial market solutions, maintaining manual and automated tests to meet software release deadlines, project testing requirements and other considerations.
- 2008 - 2009Peer Advisor / Binghamton UniversityI helped students navigate through course registration, class selection, graduation and generally making the most of their time at the School of Management.
- 2006 - 2008Resident Assistant / Binghamton UniversityI saw the best and worst sides of students while I managed the residence halls in Hinman College (Hughes and Lehman halls). I taught students new skills by implementing the community development model and developing a personal relationship with the 35 students living with me. In turn, I learned to solve numerous emergencies in spite of the students' lack of judgment.
