I'll continue to work at the fulcrum between development, QA and program management. I'll maintain, improve and create new systems to help people do their jobs more effectively by providing easily digestible information to the right people at the right time. Automation will play a key role allowing us all to invest more time on innovation. It should be an exciting challenge.

Continue to work the the same talented team for a new company. I expect new collaborators and challenges as we integrate approaches. Stream lining build/release processes, reducing maintenance costs and increasing time for innovation continue to be my goals. Better builds, infrastructure management and sharing of components across teams are key parts of the puzzle. In addition, I hope to continue to improve understanding and visualization of release processes.

My goals are to strive for simplicity, make it easier for people to do their jobs, and improve the organization's ability to detect problems early in the process. Datasynapse has a fairly complex build environment with builds requiring artifacts be constructed on many platforms and then assembled into a final product. GridServer, DataSynapse's flagship product, is used to accomplish this feat. The build tasks are farmed out to a grid of machines with the results collected and assembled into the final product. At Datasynapse, I have been automating the build process to provide reliable builds with easily understood metrics that allow developers to drive towards higher quality. Designed, implemented and maintained systems to run the software production line, improve code health, and increase the efficiency of individual contributors. The majority of systems are built using a common modular framework written in python. In addition, I developed and maintained information systems to improve organization memory.

• Designed and implemented wireless palm synchronization application which worked with a java servlet back end. • Automated complex cross platform build system and refactored it from platform specific scripts & makefiles to a cross platform perl system with unified scripts that control Windows applications via OLE, Macintosh application via on-the-fly generated applescript, and unix applications via the command line. • Addressed design problems with and improved efficiency of complex asynchronous real time busy time system. • Improved load simulation/modeling tools to replicate customer performance problems, devise fixes and verify their efficacy. • Improved efficiency of Palm Conduits on Macintosh and Windows and wrote several Palm applications. • Added functionality to RPC pathway between client side API and Server. • Detailed analysis on product limits and performance issues. • Fixed product defects and implemented features on native and java components.
