Last week I received my first Yumetenbo order! ♡ I've only bought from Galstar on Rakuten, but I had been wanting to try out this shop for a while. I got these jeans & a poncho that it's suddenly become too hot to wear lately (seriously, it's 78° here!! ٩(●ö●)۶) I'm really happy with the quality of these though & the fact that they fit! Yumetenbo sizes go up to LL so I thought the M might be too small... I can't imagine who can fit in the size SS! ٩(´Д` ;)۶:.*೨ Wore these with my usual Litas & the EMODA shirt from last year. I wish the other colours hadn't been sold out though because I would have definitely bought them in every colour. Reallyobviously into distressed/crash denim lately.

I'm kind of getting tired of using the retro filter on my photos, but the sucky lighting in my room only reminds me how much I need to invest in a better camera. FOREVER BROKE  ༼༼;; ;°;ਊ°;༽༽ I'm going to try to post sans filter for a while though... we'll see how long it lasts!

Anyway... The first of 2 YesStyle orders came last week & this amazing shirt was in it. I love the loose, off-shoulder fit of it & the weird drippy logo on the front. Paired it with these tie-dye jeans I bought like 2 years ago & decided to rip up for fun. It just reminded me of something the fabulous CL from 2NE1 would wear...

My personal aesthetic seems to be shifting back to this kind of look lately... I try to do ladylike & colourful for a while but somehow I feel it's just 'not me.' I always feel most comfortable in black anyway, haha ♫♪꒰｡ゝω⚫꒱♪♫ I have also been majorly inspired by oraora-kei which 2 of my favourite bloggers, Mitsu & Rii have posted about. Mitsu actually has an awesome intro to the style here ❤ I really like the 'tougher' image, & of course monochrome & mannish elements. 

I still like to keep my girly accessories though...

The Mr. Kate ear cuff I got for Xmas hasn't left my ear lately & I totally forgot about these dream catcher earrings my best friend gave me years ago. But I kind of wish they were gold...

Currently obsessed with South Korean men's brand deepstyle which 'caters to the modern gentleman who is acutely fashion-conscious.' These were only a few of the pieces I could definitely see myself in... I guess this means I secretly wish I could dress like a pretty boy? Wut berlin is not a brand, but actually a select shop located in Omotesando with a highly stylised curated collection that creates its own aesthetic. In other words, all of the designers Wut berlin chooses to show are so perfectly complementary, you feel like it could be a brand in itself. Their theme for s/s 12 is 'DIGITAL GODS,' which is obvious in the Greco-Roman influence mixed with modern touches such as a 'big silouhette' & 'a combination of print and print.' I love how androgynous the pieces are & the fresh, vivid colours as well as the psychedelic mix of prints. 

Also... one of my very favourite blogs Tokyo Telephone did a fabulous first-person writeup (with amazing photos included!) of the show here & Wut berlin's shop blog is a definite bookmark. For those who love cutting-edge fashion ❤

My dad has an old customised jacket he got while he was stationed in Korea back in the 70's that I always admired, which was similar to this... baseball-style, satin, embroidered with hangul & some other things... So you can imagine how stoked I was to find this amazing replica, with Japanese representation instead  (ღ ･ิ◡･ิ)ε ･ิ ღ)㋪㋞㋪㋞ The pink satin & dragon in the front is pretty cool, but the back is probably the best part... The Japanese islands are illustrated & named with all the major cities. Overall it's just a completely awesome retro piece ♡

Bonus: all of the dolls on Tiny Frock Shop are styled in true editorial fashion & even have their own model profiles. How insanely adorable is that?

Former scene girl turned model/blogger/designer Audrey Kitching recently shot this editorial channeling the character of Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games. I'm inspired by her creativity (& surprised/stoked at the fact that she used the same H&M collar necklace (2nd photo) I have, haha) but I feel like this could have been taken so much farther... The makeup is brilliant though.

& while I'm on the subject of The Hunger Games & fashion... Capitol Couture, a fictional 'magazine' site based on the books' depiction of Capitol fashion is totally worth a look in that it ties real fashion into the world of The Hunger Games. Whoever came up with that concept is seriously my hero.

Prints & pastels are everywhere this spring. I'm starting early with this silk dress I picked up from H&M during my New Year's NYC trip. Gold collar (also from H&M) necessary. I really can't wait to pair this with some neon platforms when the weather gets warmer.

Yay first mukuCHU lens review of 2012, haha! ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.ʕඹั͡ ̮ඹัʔʕ•̫͡•ʔ♬✧ Last week I received a pair of EOS Gossip Series lenses in grey. I have actually seen these advertised in a few gal mags, which is no surprise since their campaign model is the super-gorgeous 坂本礼美/Remi Sakamoto.

If you've been reading this blog for some time at all, you already know EOS is my favourite brand so I won't go over how comfortable, pretty, wonderful etc etc they are. I wore them all day (8+ hours) with just a little annoying drying towards the end but I blame that on the stress I was feeling watching the Giants/49ers game on Sunday ༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽ Anyway, here are some more photos of the lenses in...

Naturally the colour effect is more noticeable with flash, but you can still see the grey even in natural/room lighting. Bonus points for that.

I kind of like the way I look with grey eyes, haha ♥ These get a 10/10 for comfort, colour & the nice natural look they give. I definitely recommend snagging these & just fyi, mukuCHU is having a pretty awesome clearance sale with lenses starting as low as 13$ a pair!
