Took the family out to lunch on Sunday. Mum's 60 today.
I blogged the other week that the camera virtual shutter on my iphone 4 wasnt opening... well i took it to the apple store today because i had enough of not being able to take pictures when i needed to... it turns out it was a hardware issue. The women was pleasant and suggested i go home and do a clean wipe... i wasnt really prepared to do that (as i read on the apple support forums) so i asked if she could do it for me and we could check and guess what? after a clean wipe the camera was still not working. So she replaced my iphone.
For £99 you really can't go wrong. The android phone is really good value for what you get and compared to the htc wildfire has a better screen.
There are also loads of roms on modaco, so the first thing I did when I got the phone was get rid of the bloated orange firmware it came with and installed android 2.2. The interface is really fast with 2.2 and compares to the navigational speed of the htc hero.
On top of that. U can easily unlock the phone for free using an online unlock calculator.
So overall. What good value!
I thought I'd blog this just in case someone searches google for a solution for this problem. The other day I wanted to take a picture. I attempted to open the camera app only to find the graphical shutter wouldnt open up. I decided to google the problem and it seemed I wast alone. Anyway to cut it short it was suggested that you should delete your pics all the way through to hard reset your iphone and even replace your iphone. Any the solution which worked for me was switch location services off then switch it on again and it works right away.
Check this cool gadget out. It's an external battery pack Which let's you charge anything that can be charged via a USB cable. There is an 1amp port as well for the iphone and iPad which will charge your iphone in half the time. At 5000mah it's going to last a very long time. Ideal for my battery hungry iphone.
Anyway it's advertised as costing £50 but it's on amazon under a different brand for half the price.
