Experience

  • 2008 - Present

    Director, Product Management / TheLadders.com

At TheLadders.com I drive the product vision for a fast-paced leader in the online job board space. I own our road maps and craft the product vision in conjunction with the executive team, working with a strong focus on user-centric design and frequent customer interaction. I manage a team of product managers and define planning and feature prioritization processes in an agile development environment.

  • 2006 - 2008

Sr. Web Architect / Macy's / Federated Department Stores

At Macy's I started a new Business Intelligence team within the Home Store, a $1 billion division of the company. My team built the first tools to leverage Macy's recently-acquired Teradata systems for storing sales and inventory data. This freed up the business planning units from a reliance on legacy Excel-based tools, and empowered them to make real-time decisions about pricing and purchasing via a web-based platform. I also drove requirements for and managed the implementation of a division-wide intranet, allowing 50,000+ employees to share information across the organization, from associates on the sales floor in Cleveland to C-level executives in the New York office.

  • 2001 - 2006

COO and Co-Founder / Quotient Marketing, Inc.

I founded Quotient Marketing, Inc. in 2001 to address a gap in the marketplace: while sophisticated tools existed for managing online marketing campaigns, few organizations were prepared to leverage those tools. Our clients included marquee brands such as Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, LL Bean, Equity Office Property Trust and Liberty Travel. Our campaign strategies routinely drove high ROI across a wide range of activities including conversion, retention, up-selling and viral acquisition. The company was sold in 2005 to Fishbowl, Inc., a recognized leader in digital marketing.

  • 1999 - 2001

Director, Interactive Products / Away.com/Orbitz LLC

As a Director at Away.com I managed a team of product managers and information architects, overseeing new product development. We built patented tools for collaborative online travel planning and shifted the business model from travel aggregator to a media play. I led the integration of new features and content gained through the strategic acquisition of other companies in the space. Away.com was purchased by Orbitz in 2003.

  • 1997 - 1999

    Product Manager / Away.com/Orbitz LLC

Away.com's founding mission was to connect adventurous travelers with independent tour operators around the globe. In my role as product manager, I drove requirements at a tactical level, including the development of wireframes, project timelines, product specifications and marketing requirements documents. I drove the implementation of community features, content management systems and travel search engines that paved the way for Away.com to become the leader in the online adventure travel space.
