RetroSuperFuture

Well, now that part of my brain is activated; related: a current version that’s a MacBook Air who floats; related related: just tagged this “vintage” and now I’m going to take my dentures out.

Let’s have soup in the breakroom.

Put a record on.

That’s my head being covered up by Tattly temporary tattoos on Photojojo’s store. I’m having fun in SF.

I want that tie pin. And that tie, for that matter.

Ike will try and tell you he “just got into photography.” Then he pulls out work like this and negates all of his modesty. Follow him if you like good photography, or just good.

Sir, if this is you just getting into your career, I can’t even fathom what you’ll make in a few years. Keep on.

  • Matrimony - “Obey Your Guns” …’cause when you’re young you’ve got to obey your guns. Thanks to Patti for her recommendation of this band to me, based mostly off of my obsession with Mumford & Sons. Also reminds me of Admiral Fallow and Eisley.

  • Putting this here so I remember to listen to this band later. Which raises an interesting point, actually. I can go and buy an album that a friend has recommended from iTunes, but that can get expensive. I can file it away in Things, but that seems overly obsessive compulsive. I can write down a band or album name on a Post-It, but that’s, well, let’s face it, paper. Where can I get a music queuing service that lets me keep track of new music, that offers previews of the music, links to buy the album on iTunes/Amazon and holy cow, gives me recommendations based on my activity. Does something like this exist?

  • “Don’t spill hate on all of my garments. Comme des Garçons—fuck, you’re fresh!” Kanye is good, but he’s still got lots to learn from Jay-Z. I love this. baldwinner: thedailywhat: Hot Joint of the Day: Kanye West and Jay-Z - “H.A.M.” First single off Watch the Throne, Yeezy and Hova’s highly-anticipated joint LP, which is set for release March 1. • This song is the kind that’s pure pop (not that kind) and that’s just so damn addicting. It’s a good thing I don’t listen to the radio that much, since I’d probably hate it—but for now, I love it.

  • Summer isn’t officially until mid-June, but Memorial Day weekend usually marks the unofficial start of the season. According to the temps in Austin, it’s been “summer” for a while. Enjoy this track by The Drums and sing/whistle along: “oh momma, I want to go surfing!”
