Art Director / Illustrator / Designer
Design | Greater Los Angeles Area, US
I am currently an art director for a collateral design agency at the Designory, working on mostly automotive brands such as Audi and Nissan.
With any remaining time, I work various freelance and self-generated projects ranging from information/data visualization, branding & identity, magazine, book design, and sometimes environmental, experiential art projects.
I sometimes collaborate with the international art & design collective:
We work on book, editorial, and other miscellaneous art projects. Our last project was a food book, "From The Couch To The Kitchen", a published book from 826LA (a subsidiary of McSweeney's publishing | www.mcsweeneys.net) of which several students from Susan Miller Dorsey High School in Los Angeles wrote, "nominally, about their experiences with food — which are more than experiences about food. A solitary snack of apples and peanut butter conjures memories of a loved one, or sharing a meal of gumbo leads to reflection on the nature of family. Through food, these students share stories about friends, family, and community."
Specialties: branding (identity design), art-direction, editorial and book design, posters/one-sheets/key-art, custom lettering/typography, and infographics illustration.
Industry experience: automotive, entertainment, publishing (literature and editorial), fashion, education, and cultural (ie. museums, exhibits)
Client list: Audi, Nissan, Bosch, Santa Monica Mountains Parks and Recreation, Art Center College of Design, Designmatters, UNFPA, United Nations, USC, UCLA, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Johnson & Johnson, Warner Brothers, HBO, Disney, Focus Features, Universal Pictures, IFC Films, Legendary Pictures, Hewlett Packard, and JasonMarkk Inc.
