There are tons of ways to communicate with the different groups you are a part of, some of those ways include Facebook, Twitter and of course email. Those are all very useful, and I myself use each one heavily. But when it comes to important and time sensitive updates or notifications, text messaging is king. Text messages are short, to the point and I get them almost instantly.
So that is where the idea for Social Txt Msg came about. I always thought it would be nice to be able to join a text message group related specifically for some of the groups that I am a involved with. Then when anything important comes up with that group, I could be notified right away with a text message. There are a couple key things that I think are important to make this work right though…
1. Has to be simple to use.
2. Can be used 100% from text messaging without the need of web-based and mobile applications. (These are useful and will be available, but don’t want them as a have to have to use)
3. Has to be fun to use and social in nature.

The most basic example that I use in the video above, is someone creates a kickball group for their kickball team. That person then invites people who are on the kickball team into the kickball group. All the invites and accepting those invitation to join that group are all done via text messages. Then when something important comes up the administrator of that group can send a message out to the kickball group, and it gets sent to everyone who has joined the kickball group. This is a much better way to handle group texting instead of sending a message to multiple numbers. Also if someone no longer wants to receive these messages or is not on the team any more, they can simply leave the group with a simple text message.
Groups can be setup in broadcast mode so that anyone in the group can send out messages to the entire group (like a big chat room). Or if that gets to be too much, groups can be set back to their original settings where only administrators of the group can send out messages.
Also what makes Social Txt Msg fun is the ability to invite friends into a group. There are two options for invites. One where only administrators can send out invites or the other options is to open the group up to public, where anyone in the group can invite others into the group. Again all of these options can be set by simple text message.
Some other cool features are that everyone in the system can set up profiles and a short name or handle, like you would when using IM (instant Messenger). But the slickest feature is the ability to run polls and tally votes all through text messaging. So for example if you are on a kickball team, you can send out a poll to everyone who is in the group and ask what shirt color the team should be, and give them a couple of options. Also what about attendance, asking the group who will make the game tonight….Yea, Social Txt Msg can do that too!

How to Make Your PDFs and Content Go Viral
One thing we all must be doing with all our content is making it easy and convenient for people to share our information. This is by far the easiest way to help get your content to go viral, and get more traffic, sales and name recognition.
The two biggest social sharing networks that you MUST constantly be interacting with is Facebook and Twitter. There is no doubt about it, that when it comes to social networks they are king.
There are literally hundreds of social sharing sites, and the technique I am going to share with you can be used for any of them, but I am going to be focusing on just Facebook and Twitter and provide you with examples on exactly how to use this strategy properly.
I’m sure we have all seen on blog posts and article where there is a button to “Like” this post, or share this post on Facebook or “Tweet” this article to your friends. This technique is super simple to implement yet very powerful. If you are using Word Press there are hundreds of plugins that will automatically let you set which of these social networks you want user’s to be able to share your content with. Here is an example:

Now I know what you are thinking….this is anything new, and I am already using these techniques on my blogs and content I have all over the web. (And if you aren’t you need to be) – Hold on we are getting there….
Another thing that you need to be doing is giving away free content, and not just any content, but content that offers great value. The more value and benefit you can provide to people, the more it will come back to help you, and in most cases tenfold.
One of the easiest ways to share quality content is via PDFs. PDFs are by no means an obsolete media content. In-fact, PDFs are indexed by Google, and there are a ton of sites dedicated to just people sharing PDFs. One of these sites is www.scribd.com. Most people prefer PDFs when they are reading ebooks, reports or articles, especially if there are more than a couple of pages worth of content. And don’t forget that PDFs are easy to read on mobile devices and readers like iPad and kindle.
So even you someone shares an article that contains a link to download your PDF, you still need to do one better than that…and here is how:
Make the PDF viral in nature it’s self.
Directly in the PDF allow people to share it. Someone may not decide that the PDF is even worth sharing until they are a couple pages in, and say to themselves “wow, this is really good stuff…I bet my friends would get some great use from this.”
And this is where my simple yet super effective built-in social sharing, technique comes in. Have the Twitter and Facebook links embedded into your document. You can have these buttons on every page of your document in the footer, or just on the first and last page, or wherever you want.

If you’re already selling anything online this article is going to show you how to add extra revenue you didn’t even know you had “hiding” in your site without getting any more visitors.
Overlooked Way #1 – An Upsell
If you’ve been in marketing for any time you’ve probably heard of “upsells” or “bumps”. Car dealers are excellent at using this technique. Once you have agreed to buy a car you then go into the finance office. This finance guy is really another place where they try to extract as much money as possible from you; dealer financing, extended warranties, rust coating, a low-jack security system, etc. These additions will normally add as much, or more, profit to the dealer as the original sale. These are upsells or cross- sells.
Another great example is if you’ve ever called a late night infomercial you will be given an upsell. They will offer you a special deal on the third bottle of super grime cleaner if you buy 2 bottles. These upsells usually end up bringing more profit than the original item people intended to purchase.
Why not do the same online?
This little “magic trick” can instantly increase your profits 20-66% even without getting any additional business or website visitors. It works great because your prospect is all hot and heavy and ready to buy. They’ve got their credit card in their hand and they’ve already made the commitment. (If you read Robert Cialdini’s book “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion” you’ll see commitment and consistency is a key psychological trigger.)
There are a couple ways I’ve successfully used upsells on my sites:
First you can use an “intermediary” page. Once prospects click on the order buttons they’re taken to a new page (and not the order form). This page tells people about a special offer that is for today only and that they can get a ‘deluxe’ or ‘gold’ version of the package for X dollars more. You can make the upsell a big dollar amount or a small insignificant little ‘bump’. I do this on www.Instantsalesletters.com and my numbers have been quite good using this technique – as high as 68% some days. So think about my additional profit margins just by inserting this one extra page. Awesome!
Another way of doing this is by “recommending” a product. Anytime you buy something from Amazon – that’s exactly what they do. Up comes a page that “Customers who bought __ also bought__” and then they have a slew of products.
Next, you can also have the upsell right on the Order page. I’ve even used something as simple as putting a check box on my order form on www.InstantInternetProfits.com. It could be that simple. On this we get a 25% upsell rate. Take a look at what appears at the bottom after the customer has already filled out their info to buy the course
You have to play fair and let people get the original price and package you offered but there’s no reason you shouldn’t add a complimentary upsell immediately. The upsell is one of the easiest (and most profitable) techniques you can start implementing tomorrow. This is like the “would you like fries” strategy. Unless you’re offering “fries” you’re missing out on tons and tons of profit. You simply need to come up with a couple more compelling bonuses, packages or up-sells that people will get for the upgrade.
Overlooked Way #2 – Thank You Pages
After upsells, I’d say ‘thank you’ pages are one of the most overlooked profit hot-spots. Once again, there are several ways I’ve used this technique. First of all, anytime somebody buys a product from you online – they are taken to some kind of thank you page. Most people will simply put “Thank you for your order” and that’s it. They leave the customer with their credit card in their hands to go off to some other website and give them money. Why not give people a special deal on the thank you page or at least give them links to your other products or other people’s products that you make an affiliate commission on?
Now if it’s a digital product – then they need to get their download but you can also put some recommended resources
right on the download page. At the bottom of the digital download page for www.PublicDomainRiches.com we have a

Those aren’t the only thank you pages. Many people totally forget about the ‘thank you’ pages that come up after someone signs up for your list. Now where you want to send them will depend on where they are in the sales process – but you can have a list of recommended resources that comes up AFTER people subscribe to your email list. Why not? If that’s the last action you were expecting – you should look for ways to profit from this.
Overlooked Way #3 – Thank You Emails/Confirmations
Don’t forget the initial email confirmation you send back to your customers. Last technique we talked about making offers on the thank you page but your ‘thank you’ email is one of the most read emails. In addition to the ‘typical’ stuff you should include like customer service information, who will bill their credit card, etc why not add a simple P.S. to the bottom of the email like I do offering additional resources (or even a special deal just for customers).
