Is this legit? Kurtis is gonna freak!

Whether this is real or not, being set in colonial US actually makes sense when you know the storyline, what with templars, freemasons, Desmond being American, and the fact that there’s a Piece of Eden located somewhere in upstate New York. It was one of the predicted settings, along with Brazil and Japan.

Japan’s a bit overdone, I feel, but I personally would’ve liked to see Brazil. Colonial US ain’t bad either, when was the last time a video game was set in that time period?

My other little project from this weekend, a GLaDOS ring! <3

The first pic is the materials I used (basically whatever paints I had lying around, haha), and the second is a close-up of the 3D models I bought from this awesome store (go check it out!). They were all a little rough around the edges because of the 3D printing process—although the level of detail really is amazing!—so I painted over them both with white and black opaque paint after cleaning the edges up with an X-Acto knife and some stick pins. Then came the little yellow and red eye details (done with a toothpick and another stick pin, respectively; so tiny!! @_@). Then I superglued her together and varnished over the top for a nice waterproof shine.

You really don’t need to do all this work (~2 hours worth) if you get the ring, but I was happy with the results when I was finished. Now I have a tiny cute GLaDOS to nestle around my finger! c:

trying to decide where to put the lettering. like the bottom, not so sure about the top.
also toned down the brown tint to make it lighter {thank you for all your answers} so that it would print more like the second one in my previous post.
it’s looking more like a proper poster now.
