He is gone.
Almost seven hours ago, he posted this picture on his Facebook page and he titled it “The Door.” Little did we know that he knew, freaks, he knew, that he was due to The Other Side. It is a strange phenomenon, isn’t it? A dying man knows when it is about time to let go of the corporeal aspect of life. My late partner, who loved him, during our courtship stage implored me to listen to “I’ll Be Your Mirror” as a token of his affection. He once told me, “I want you to remember me every time you play this song.” And so a few weeks after his funeral, I played this song over and over again. And now, Lou Reed, one of my heroes, and my partner’s hero, is now gone.
