- 2012 Predictions.
1. RIM will die or get acquired -most likely a patent buy.
2. Windows Phone will jokey for #2 or #3 in the smartphone market with Android and iOS.
3. PS Vita and 3DS will fail horribly.
4. Sony will release a real Playstation Phone that is directly compatible with Vita games.
5. Netflix will be acquired by Dish Network.
6. AOL and Yahoo! will merge, Bing will power the search for both sites.
7. Facebook will begin declining in popularity in lieu of alternatives like Google Plus, Path, and even Twitter.
8. Groupon will die.
9. Apple will discontinue the iPod Shuffle, the Nano will become a companion to iOS devices, and the Classic will remain the same. The iPod Touch will be almost on par with the iPhone 5.
10. Apple will not release a TV. Whatever I do it’s because I believe I can bring some amount of taste into it, anything else is secondary.
