Summary

I studied Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Human-Computer Interaction(HCI) at the University of California, San Diego.

I enjoy writing code, working with server technology, interacting with people, and studying interfaces.

I'm not afraid of things I don't understand. I enjoy learning.

I have fun building dynamic, standards-compliant web applications, and I am extremely interested in user-centered (HCI) design.

I am currently working freelance building web applications with Ubuntu Linux, Nginx, Thin, Unicorn, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, EventMachine, Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3.
Specialties: I code neatly by hand: Ruby, Test::Unit, Rails, HAML, SASS, CoffeeScript, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, MongoDB, PHP, HTML, CSS, Bash and Zsh. • I have the unique ability to clearly relate technical concepts to non-technical people. • I have experience in Linux and Macintosh server administration, as well as tech support for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. • I engineer standards-compliant, dynamic, and intuitive web applications.
