So recently, Twitter has been introduced to another Phishing attack. Phishing is when a fake website or program is created, looking like the original by the attacker, to collect your login details, and use your account to their desires.. How do you stop this? If you’re a victom, simply change your account password. Check that your email has not been changed. Then avoid clicking any further links DMed to you that are shortened without first asking your friend to verify their genuiness.

How can you tell if a site is trying to compromise your information? Very simple. Have a look at the URL bar on your browser after the page as fully loaded, and make sure you are on “twitter.com” and not something silly like “twititre.com”…. To stop the chain, simply don’t fall for their tricks!!

Secondly for twitter/facebook sakes, they do not just say pop up and say “your session has expired, try re-signing in”… That should raise a red flag to you!

Here are some of the tricks these hackers will use THROUGH YOUR COMPROMISED FRIENDS, to try and get you to click the link as well. Keep in mind these are only SOME of the examples, where each of them would be followed by a shortened URL that they’re hoping you’ll click.

• Hey someone is saying very bad rumors about you…  bit.ly url
• Hey someone is posting nasty things about you… tinyurl
• LMAO…OMG I’m laughing so hard at this pic of me my friend uploaded … 
• Hi this user is making horrible things about you…  bit.ly url
• ROFL…omg i am laughing so hard at this pic of u someone uploaded…

What do they do once they get your account info? Well it really depends. On twitter, it seems all they do is keep their virus going through spreading links.. But they may also sell your login details for $$$ to advertisers, to sneak advertisements on your account, without your consent. (via twitter posts). Same with facebook, besides getting to see all your photos and private topics.

It gets worse when banking phishing sites are introduced, as those are used to drain your banks, so it PAYS OFF TO PAY ATTENTION!

I hope you learned something here! Keep an eye out for things like this, They’re everywhere on the internet! Please share this post with a friend you think may have fell into a phishing hole, or with your current friends to prevent the happening before it happens!

nO! This will not be publicly available for download when it is done, my appologies. I program in PHP, not standalone executable C/C+ etc coding, thus to use this you’d need your own PHP5.3+ with curl enabled server installed on your windows machine.. It will however *possibly* be available for public use, via requests.

Why? Some times, if you’re creating a game or a series of desktops, and need a load of vectors without wanting to waste the time downloading each one, this took gets the job done in seconds. There are already existing DevRippers out there, but none of them did what I’m attempting to make mine do..

SOME Features:

• Download Entire Gallery. (front page, folders, folders in folders, etc).
• Never Download Duplicates. (by image ID)
• Download only NEW additions to Gallery on every re-load. (stay updated)
• Compatible with every deviantART Profile setups. (spiders through all folders, groups and pages in each)
• Features a Folder and Keyword blacklist.
• Caches progress, will resume downloads where it left off, if prematurely closed.
• Downloads all photos with original filename, organized in folders as they are on the deviantART gallery.
• Open-Source. (if released, provided that you give a copy of all changes to SeiRruf to examine and potentially include in code updates)
• Safe to use. Variables allow for customization of download speed, auto-close, etc.
• Downloads any uploaded downloadable content. (zip/jpg/png/svg/gif etc)
• Runs in Command Prompt. Not your browser. (at least for now)

I am considering allowing public use of this when it is done, per request. (details will apply when the time comes, if I decide to complete the script)

Want to help? Well, the only thing I really need right now, is someone to find out how to convert PHP into a self-executable file. (possible executable with built in PHP and extensions, that runs a given index.php file when opened. Should also be able to pass variables to this file on open. Would NOT use any browser, but instead either a GUI clean interface (based on echo’s, of PHP) or cmd-like interface). If all is possible.

It’s so Very True!! SeiRruf has gotten into DeVry Universities!! Beginning this Semester, It’s going to be an experience. Working towards an Associates in ECT! There’s only one thing I worry about most…

Interested in reading more? Good for you! :) Makes me happy! The thing I worry most about this Career right now, is not the Career at all. It’s getting to and from College! I’ll be driving a 27mile trip, to, and then back again every single day. Lots and lots of work, but I am looking towards it paying off in the next 1 and a half years, when I will be complete. :) My first day is this Monday!! D: Pray for me!

What’s my motive? What am I looking forward to? Well a good paying job for my family and I some day, of course! That’s always such a warm thought. :) To make my family proud, and live the perfect life with those I love.

Stay tuned, I may or may not keep you all informed! Though this post alone is plenty perfect for SeiBLOG, continuing it may not be. But we’ll see. :) As a side note, I have been busy with things and am way behind in my projects. Please forgive me, I promise to have them done eventually. :)

On the side note with that one, SeiRruf’s Controllable LED Sign may be suffering down times from 5pm PAC to 10-11pm PAC on Mondays and Wednesdays for the next 8 weeks. This is due to me being in College, and unable to moderate the sign.

First it was CODE DOMINATION. Then it was SeiNimate. We are currently playing with Sei’s LED SIGN. What’s next? Well, this is as unexpected as it is to you. It’s a sample project, but it still gets a project name. (not yet complete). SeiProject 4!

So glad to see you’re interested!! :P I suppose you’d like more information on this project now, yes? Well lets start with this. SeiProject 4 is another Internet-Controlled project. This time, SeiRruf is going beyond just and simple plain Lights, and moving onto motor-operated items. This project will feature another hack of an existing piece of equipment, making it possible for anyone around the world to control.

All previous donators towards SeiProjects will be sent the beta when it is ready for action, before the general public is free to use it. For the first Week, or month, this SeiProject will be only available to people who donate to help future SeiProjects. If you feel generous and wish to donate, you’ll find that information at the bottom of this post. :)

This project will take some time to create, as not only an advanced site must be built, but also my own custom circuits for motor control the way I wish to control them. But I won’t get into the magical details. Those are up to SeiRruf. :)

So what exactly is this? Well, It’s more of a SeiCret!! Some of you may know, while others are excited to find out. So I’ll just go ahead and tell you. It’s a claw machine. A toy claw machine, that will be enabled to be controlled online. The stream will consist of an IP cam to give you the fastest and most LIVE video feed when it’s available. Controls will be hosted on SeiRruf.com

What kinda things will you be able to pick up? Random.. lol Do you win them when you get them? No, but SeiRruf MAY pick up on something, where if a user picks an object placed in the claw machine, and successfully gets it through the shoot, perhaps that person may be eligible to win what ever I have to offer at the time. More project plans will be developed as the project comes together.
