Located on the outskirts of Koreatown is a new boutique pastry shop properly named Mozart Bakery. Every delectable edible item is a work of art! It’s almost a shame to eat these masterpieces. This unpretentious bake shop showcases its juicy jewels on gold cardboards basked in gallery-style lighting. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with an open layout of individually packaged baked breads and sweet rolls in wicker baskets. Everything is labeled and priced for your convenience. In addition to their signature cakes and various petit pastries, Mozart hosts a complete coffee and smoothie menu. Bring your laptop too since they offer free wifi. Just be sure to have it charged or have a backup battery because they don’t have public outlets. This is a great venue for family and friends as well as individuals who want a little quiet and privacy.
Tips:
+ Try out one of their beautifully crafted cakes for a birthday or anniversary
+ Weekend nights are popular for groups and gatherings
+ Take home some of their homemade mochi and different flavored sweet rolls
Dishes to Die For:
+ Thai tea smoothie
+ Green tea tiramisu
+ Colorful macarons
+ Raspberry mousse
Location: 11420 Emerald St. Dallas, TX. 75229 [972.406.8885]
Open and ready to serve: Mon-Thurs & Sun 9am – 10pm, Fri & Sat 9am – 11pm

Just West of the Bishop Arts District and situated in Oak Cliff, lies the quaint bar and kitchen called Bolsa, formally the historic Settles Garage building. This gem boasts big windows and doors, and the decor is minimalist and organic. In fact, most ingredients used in the chefs’ thoughtful dishes are organic and grown by local farmers. Bolsa doubles as a mini marketplace where you can purchase these fresh goodies and other Texas-made products. Offering a beautiful patio and plenty of colorful people watching, it’s no wonder this humble restaurant is always buzzing with local regulars and rave reviews.
Tips:
+ go early in the week as the place tends to get packed closer towards the weekend
+ make sure you give yourself plenty of time to wait, eat and enjoy the experience
+ prices are mid-ranged; two people can easily fill up on three dishes, wine & dessert for under $60
Dishes to Die For: (based upon availability as the menu changes)
+ Bruschetta tasting= Texas Tomatoes, Prosciutto, Smoked Salmon and Fuji Apple
+ P.E.I mussels with golden tomato broth and pesto
+ Twig & branch flatbread with arugula, Dallas goat cheese, & oven roast grapes
+ White chocolate rum tile with Nila™ wafer, toffee sauce and bruleed bananas
Location: 614 W Davis St. Dallas, TX. 75208 [214.367.9367] www.bolsadallas.com
