Shameless self promo of my other blog because I just changed the theme.
I didn’t watch UEFA Championship Final because I had family emergency but glad my team won.
This is my khalamuni (auntie). We lost her to lung cancer today. I woke up to a call telling me she needs to be on life support and it was only a matter of couple hours before she left us. She was so young, too young to go so soon. I still can’t completely register it. Living so far away it’s hard, it just feels numb.
She was an intelligent, ambitious, and strong woman. She never got married and didn’t have children of her own but she was always a strong figure for all the girls in the family. She would always tell me, never let a man define who you are, never let a man bully you, never let anyone tell you what to do.
I am going to miss her so much, I am going to miss her sweet melodic voice. I am going to miss her sense of humor, her sense of style, her beautiful smile, her everything.
She saved my life when I was ill, being the only one who matched my blood type. And I couldn’t even be near her for her last days.
Rest in peace khalamuni. I miss you.
