I like stuff.
I’m throwing down the gauntlet. This April, I am going to Wayne Brady your Dudley.
Sensationalist headline but really cool and exciting news.
Drawing in Microsoft Excel
GAT-X105 Strike Gundam using Excel!!
This is insanity at its loneliest.
As cool as it is terrifying.
I always wonder, when someone like this uses non-standard tools to create art they would do better with more common setups or if the non-standard tools just make more sense to them.
I really should not be this excited for the package I got today, but I am. I’ve watched the documentary several times over and really like it. How the fashion industry works is so mercurial in nature is beyond my familiarity, which is one reason I find it so enduring and interesting.
Even if you don’t care for fashion- I’d still recommend it.
60 Minutes did a 13 minute piece with the technology over the past year or so has convinced me that it will be a major source of energy in at least two decades, maybe even as soon as next decade.
From Toshiba’s fuel cell laptops and cellphones to this, it blows solar, hydrogen and all that other…
Made me raise an eyebrow but if it really turns out - that would be amazing. Very cool.
“A 42-year-old HIV patient with leukemia appears to have no detectable HIV in his blood and no symptoms after a stem cell transplant from a donor carrying a gene mutation that confers natural resistance to the virus that causes AIDS, according to a report published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.”
Splinter Cell: Conviction
“This is the newest trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction, or Badass The Game as some people refer to it. I haven’t been this excited about a Splinter Cell game since Pandora Tomorrow… but this one has it’s hooks in me.”
Excluding Double Agent- all the Splinter Cell games have a special place in my heart. I absolutely cannot wait for this game to come out.
Now testing: Replies
This very beta new feature allows people you follow to reply to your posts. So far, this feature only works from the Dashboard and only on your primary blog. Some big updates are on the way. :)
You can enable it by checking off Customize → Advanced → Enable replies.
Comments on Tumblr! Whoooo! Tumblr is on the ball these days!
Now time to wait till it’s not all “beta”y anymore

“Apparently, the boy in this picture wasn’t posing, he was actually lost. He came up to The Flash and Wonder woman, and they helped him find his father.”
just when I am about to pull the trigger on a 7D… there you go again Canon. Now i’ve gotta do my research all over. Thanks for trying to save me a buck… but simmadown now
Bit of a tangent here- in the US it’ll be named the “Rebel T2i”, most of the world will know it as the “EOS 550D”, and then Japan has the awesomely hilarious name of “EOS Kiss Digital X4” (the Kiss Digital X3 being the T1i).

Mobile Photography Collaboration!
Hey everyone!
Today I’m going to start something FUN with this new photo reply thing. (btw, if you haven’t yet, go to the post and check out all the photo comments people left! Look how fun my friends are! Hahah)
Let’s start a mobile photography project!
Mobile photography is great (so it doesn’t sound so daunting, just think of it as “taking pictures with your cell phone). Pretty much everyone on here has a cell phone and one that can take photos! You always have your phone with you! Everyone can take part in this!
So here’s the deal: At the start of each day I will post our photo mission of the day. For example, today will be the color RED! Go out, take a picture with your cell phone of something red, it could actually be red or the photo could just have a red tint. Get creative!
3 Rules:
- Follow the Theme
- Mobile photos only
- No previously snapped photos!
So here we go you guys! Today’s mission:
RED
Leave your photo as a reply to this post (take your time! you got all day!) and tomorrow when I post up the next theme, I’ll post it with all the photos people submitted! It should look pretty cool with all of them together. Also, any ideas for other themes? (I’m thinking tomorrow will be “Motion Blur!”
Email me with any questions or ideas: charlieys@gmail.com
[Let’s hope tumblr keeps this photo commenting system around, or at least brings it back after this 48 hour “experiment”.]
Today is RED, y’all!

Canon just announced the 550D which seems to contain the same sensor as the Canon EOS 7D and the same filming options (24, 25, and 30 frames per second for 1080p. 50 or 60 frames per second for 720p). It loses a processor (down from 2) and reduced continuous shooting from the 7D but will come at a lower price point.
I think it’s great if you wanted the video options of the 7D but weren’t terribly comfortable with the initial price.

I realize this is an old feature but I just got around to tagging photos and my various illustrations to more quickly filter out my other posts. On my Tumblr page, there should be a link for illustrations that should take you to this subset and photos to this subset.
I think after one more CES I’ll need to create its own subset link on the main page but until then they’re available by going to http://chanh.tumblr.com/tagged/CES.
Nike: Take It To The Next Level - [Directors Cut]
This is pretty stellar… if I may say so myself. Makes me walk to learn socce—err football.
Credit your source Chris!! If anyone is curious the song is by the always awesome Eagles of Death Metal
I loved the visuals the 60’s and 70’s Sci-Fi TV shows produced. The form fitting uniforms, ship designs, and fantastical settings never failed to disappoint.
Mass Effect 1 was a dream come true as a fan of the genre. Mass Effect 2 in some ways took nods to more modern science fiction but held true to other aspects of the period (such as Miranda surviving an inhospitable planet with just a small re-breather, leaving her more visual assets apparent). In short, it lit a fire under my ass to try and give the Ziv set another go.
I’m currently trying to figure out how to break up her costume as I’m going in with the intent of B&W this time. I also don’t think I’ll try and keep a daily update for it but will work to keep it on a regular schedule. I’ll fully start it once I have a chance to brainstorm a bit more.

How I draw my webcomic Big Pants Mouse part 1/2 by Gabe Swarr
Gabe is an excellent cartoonist and has a very interesting work flow (at the very least, very different from my own). Check out part 2 as well.
While I disagree sir- Your brevity had me crying from laughing so hard.

Hunh. As some who gets extremely red faced really quickly, I thought it was an interesting read.
This is so amazing.
