EOTC: So wassup LOON?
LOON: Quite a few things man, wrapped up my album for made in glitch about a month ago. It was suppose to be released next month but my laptop crashed on me about two days ago so i have to rebuild everything from the project stems i archived in my desktop at home
I’ve also been working with ableton and the apc20, so as soon as i piece everything back together i’ll be working on more live sets & play out more
EOTC: Well that’s alright man, hope everything works out, so you could get back to wrecking shit.lol
LOON: Thank you. same here man, this Isn’t the first time this happens so I’ll see it through. I’ve actually lost a lot of beats throughout the years I’ve been doing this due to never saving or backing up my files, luckily i did this time
EOTC: Awesome. Rest in beats, to the lost ones lol Make room for many more.
EOTC: So where you from?
LOON: haha, I’m currently in town called Lake Elsinore California, the suburbs. there’s not too much going on out here as far as a “beat scene” or at least that I know of.
I just go to work, take care of my grandparents, grab about 3 four loko’s at the corner store before I come home and just lock myself in my room and work on tunes for the rest of the night.
EOTC:Those Lokos are serious I heard.lol
But no sleep just hard work, thats the way it should be, and you out there in the burbs so you can stay on track. Life is a beat itself.
EOTC: How about you tell the people out there a little bit about who you are, and what it is you do? (for those that dont know)
LOON: The names Loon, I’m a 20 year old Mexican/Ecuadorian ken doll with a beer belly. I’ve been making tunes since I was 15 with a few shitty programs. I actually used to emcee/sing over my beats and record minute long verses in Microsofts Sound Recorder and arrange everything in fruity loops. I later just found more of a passion in just producing so I don’t really add vocals to my tunes unless I’m really feeling like that’s what its missing. I’ve worked with a lot of really dope artists throughout the years, ranging from people on the briefcase rockers crew/label. Devonwho, the great mundane, Zackey Force Funk, Epcot just collab’s and remixes. I really like working with other producers, to me that’s like sharing my dreams. I don’t write my music out of boredom or just because its entertaining to me. Its more of an escape, of things I think about or sounds I hear in my dreams. Sometimes I wont make tunes for months at a time because I’m not feeling what I hear in my head. Or I wont finish tunes because I cant make the sound I hear in my mind in reaktor. I just delete them or archive them for future collabs.
EOTC: Was there an inspirational push that sparked your interest to start?
LOON: Yeah man, when my mom said I couldn’t be taking out my fustrations on punching meat heads in high school so a good friend of mine installed FL5 on my desktop one day and I just felt like some kind of god being able to control sound, its an amazing feeling.
I grew up in the yo mtv raps/pop up video era. My grandfather used to bump classical music in the car every morning during my grade school years, my dad’s an OG so he listens to a lot of oldies & g funk and my mom just listens to whatevers on the radio so I guess you could say I soaked that up.
EOTC:On Average, How long does it take for you to create a beat?
LOON: It usually ranges between half an hour to a day, I’m very choosy with which sounds I use man, otherwise I’ll just delete everything and work on something new.
EOTC: What do you enjoy doing on your free time other than making beats?
LOON: I like to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and family. I digg push ups, basketball, long walks on the beach and I’m about to get a gym pass so I can lose this gut. I’m open to a lot of things if they catch my interest.
EOTC:What does music mean to you?
LOON: Absolutely everything, its like a third language to me. I put my fucking heart and soul into every sound that participates in the structure of anything I make. Some people just do it for fun, to others its just second nature. But I do this for myself. I don’t make what people want to hear, I just make what I feel and hear in my mind.
This dj takes no requests haha
EOTC: Haha
EOTC: How did you come up with the name LOON?
LOON: That name was actually given to me by my friends in my old neighborhood, I guess you can say I used to be a little wild when it came to handling situations the right way, I was young, dumb, beat some asses. Also because of my personality I’m a bit different in certain ways.
EOTC: How do you want people to interpret your music?
LOON: However they want.
EOTC: So what are the toys you use to produce your music?
LOON: Right now I’m using the nano key, maschine, apc20, sp555 and vst’s. I just got a guitar so I’ve been plugging in this single coil into it and channeling the sound to my sampler, fucking with effects. I love the tape echo.
EOTC: Dope.
EOTC: What word best describes your music?
LOON: Well to me, endeavor. Just like pictures are worth 1000 words, I believe the same applies to music.
EOTC: Good Answer.
EOTC: Whats one word that describes you?
LOON: LOON. ;)
EOTC: Awesome Answer lol
EOTC: Are there any current projects your working on?
LOON: As of now no, just stressing over putting this album back together with the stems. After that I’ll have a bit more time to work on remixes and a surprise ep’s with 2 pretty dope youngsters, details soon.
EOTC: Thats Wassup YO!
EOTC: Last but not least, Any Shout outs?
LOON: Of course, shout outs too my mom & that bum who flipped me off at the gas station. But most importantly the fans and friends who’ve been supportive along the way, thank you.

Self Portrait, ABEL.
EOTC: So what’s going on Abel?
ABEL: I’ve been chillin. making music and whatnot.
EOTC: Dope, So where you from?
ABEL: San Jose, CA
EOTC: Nice, do you like it there?
ABEL: Yeah
EOTC: How about you tell everyone out there a little bit about who you are, and what it is you do.
ABEL: My name is Abel. I am 16 years-of-age and I make music.
EOTC: When did you start making music?
ABEL: I started making music seriously 2 years ago. I was first introduced to the idea of making music on the computer ironically in my freshman computer class, and it was this video of this beat someone made on Fruity Loops. After that I just became interested in it and watched more videos of that similar type of thing and I came across a copy of Fruity Loops on the net and the rest is history.
EOTC: What inspires you to produce music?
ABEL: I know this is such a cliche thing to say but everything inspires me. The more “direct” inspiration just comes from listening to other music.
EOTC: So what was your first beatmaking experience like? How was the finished product?
ABEL: My first beatmaking experience was terrible. I was pretty much lost. I don’t think there was a finished result. I probably gave up before any music was made haha.
EOTC: On a scale of 1-10, what would you rate it? lol
ABEL: -10 haha It was terrible. I didn’t know how to do anything. Slowly but surely I learned how to use the software and started creating music.
EOTC: lol Thats wassup though man. On average, how long does it take for you to drop a track?
ABEL: The whole music making process don’t take long, maybe like an hour or two. The bulk of the time spent on a track is spent figuring out what to do. That really varies, it could take a couple of hours or couple of days on end.
EOTC: What was the hardest project you have ever worked on?
ABEL: It would probably have to be Swinging Through The Vibes. It took a while to write that song. Just about every element of the track strained my abilities. I think that track was key in my development as an artist. It’s definitely one of those tracks I’ll look back on.
EOTC: Word. all of your hard work in that track definately shows.
EOTC: What are the gadgets that help you produce such sounds?
ABEL: I am mainly using Logic Pro on my 24” Imac and a keyboard controller. I have some cheap speakers from Frys and a field recorder to record some sounds.
EOTC: What do you label your music as?
ABEL: I’d say it’s progressive music. It’s always growing and evolving.
EOTC: Do you collab with any other producers? Are there any you would like to work with?
ABEL: I have reached out to a couple of my friends but as of now they’re all respectively busy with their projects, which is completely understandable. There are way to many names to list for artists I would want to collaborate with. To name some names; Shlohmo, Baths, Lorn, Nosaj Thing.
EOTC: Nice Line Up! If you were not doing this music thing, what are some of your other aspirations, or what do you think you would be doing?
ABEL: I’d be making films. Even though I am making music now I still plan on directing in the future.
EOTC: Thats good man. Are you signed to any label, affiliated with anyone?
ABEL: Nope.
EOTC:Thats cool bro, Keep doing what you doing and you’ll be down with something before you know it.
ABEL: Hope So.
EOTC:Last but not least, do you have any shout outs?
ABEL: I wanna first thank you for taking your time to do this interview. I wanna shout out my homies AshTreJinkins, Nate James, Loon, Brey, InfinitiRock, Chocolate Girl.
EOTC: Aiight Abel thanks for the Interview. Hope we here at EOTC can hear more from you, and link up again in the future.

“Yo, what’s going on with EOTC?” “Hey, do you guys still do that EOTC thing?” “Where have you guys been?”
These are some of the questions we have been getting in the past few months. Well, We are here to let you all know that we are not gone, but more importantly the date of the “comeback.” Marz and myself(Tre) have been brainstorming ideas, and working on projects of our own. However, we decided we have been of the scene for long enough.

Now that we have shared that, our question for you is…Are you ready?!

Hello followers, once again we would like to apologize for the lack of material lately. So much has been going on in both Tre and Mar’z life that EOTC was kind of slipping through the cracks. But we grabbed it back up and now we’re working harder than ever. We have a whole line up of new interviews coming up and new music to share with you all. We’re planning a comeback event that will take place at an undisclosed time right now, but as soon as everything is set we will let you know. At that time we will also be publishing an interview we feel would get us back on our feet.
We would like to thank you all for following us and continuing to send us new art for our pleasure. Because doing this really is our pleasure. We enjoy new material and new ways to express ourselves through art. So shouts out to all that artists out there, and congratulations to you all. The biggest step is the first one, and you all took it.
So we will be leaving for now, but we will be back sooner than you know.
Peace and love,
(Tre & Marz)

Endangerment of The Cool is the creative collaboration between Tre & Marz where we do an in depth exploration all things “Cool.” Our goal at EOTC is to uphold and value the appreciation of the arts. Artistic Expression is composed of various endeavors and disciplines, which all serve to appeal to our senses of sight and sound. The Arts encompasses visual arts, literature and performing arts including music, dance and film. All of which EOTC supports as “Cool”.
Through observation of our generation, we realize that there is a lack of appreciation for creative and artistic expression. As we grew older and witnessed the progression of art and what people considered “cool”, we became heartbroken due to how mainstream everything has become. There’s a lack of originality and it leaves us to wonder: Where is the self-expression? Where is the love for doing what you do because it is WHAT YOU DO?
Here at EOTC, we make it our prime objective to “hunt” for those “endangered” artists, the ones that still create simply for the love of it. We bring them to the light and share them with the world, in order to prove the existence of “soul art”. The existence of “The Cool.” Not the mainstream cool, but the “endangered cool”. The cool that stems from the soul and shines brightly into original talent simply because the artist is creating out of passion. This is the type of raw art and talent we bring to you to enhance your appreciation of art and in turn “cool” at its finest.
While our site revolves around these “Endangered Species” which we discover, it is still a site that requires the collaboration of our visitors. We want to keep you up to date and as faithful followers, continuously bring you content to keep you interested. We also want involvement; we want your continuous feedback allowing us to see what you want and what you need thereby giving us new ideas. Putting US on to what other Endangered Species are out there and helping us bring them to light. The love of Art and the sense of Cool is out there and its you, the visitors and followers of this site, who will guide us on the hunt.
