I perform maybe a quarter of all of my NY stand up sets at The Creek. Way more than on any other stage, I have learned how to be a comedian at The Creek. No other full time comedy venue allows the freedom and the stage time together that this venue…

I’m reblogging Nick Turner’s very well-thought-out reasons why you should support/donate to the Kickstarter for the Creek. I’d like to add that Rebecca (owner) let me book a horse for my CD release show. Not only did I not have to twist her arm, she encouraged me when I almost chickened out, and even got a carpenter to build a horse post! It’s my best personal example of The Creek going above and beyond what could possibly be expected from a comedy venue to support its shows and performers. So donate what you can, because this place is making comedy and comedians and the community better.

Can’t ask for a better last show of 2011 than a sold out Gentrify @ UCB East. I did 334 shows this year, and each one helped me become a better comedian. Here’s to a whole lot more in 2012.
